    an object that rotates around the sun has volcanic activity and is not considered a planet or a moon. many objects have volcanic activity in the solar system, i do not know why this is a special case. The article did not really mention too much. Unless theres valuable metals in that peice, it seems kinda pointless. Tell me if im wrong...

    ...videogames are meant for freedom of playing and not having to follow what the director wants you to see. So if you want to get shot and still fight you can, while hollywood would show what happens to the guy when he dies. Giving a game and making it into a movie takes away the freedom of videogames. Of course many of these games will be better than todays hollywood scripts. Look at Gigli, i dare you, you wont make it because you will slit your wrists from the horrible screenplay halfway through. Meh, Nintendo just wants to do is pocket a few dollars off the fans who will see the movie just because Samus will show her b00bs or something, kinda sad.

    i was on the thought of how supercooled plasma is not actually insanely cool, its just cooler than the plasma state, same with cold fusion. i just kinda kept it there because they were prolly containing liquid hydrogen in the container to save storage space and to get the most out of the hydrogen bomb, and that is extremely cold. But yes, cold fusion doesnt mean uber-cold/near 0-K kind of cold.

    set up the death penalty for this. Once someone starts spamming, they wont stop spamming for the rest of their life, so i say we need to stop them so they dont have a life of spamming. We used to kill people for treason (up till the 60s IIRC), and im pretty sure that spamming is worse than treason!

    you really mean Bush, Chenny, and the people in control of our political affairs right? Because i am not for shutting out the rest of the world and neither are many Americans. I am all for clearing out all the corruption bullshit (that is why i dont support Bush or Kerry), and so are many Americans. Organized religion is what i hate more than anything, But how many bills are passed through that have to pertain to religious ideas; We did not ban gay marrage and we still have abortion. And true democracy cannot work because we have too many dumbasses that cant even read in our country. Just think if they chose the prettiest face to vote for? We need some regulation. So dont blame Americans for the problem, because most of us are not for all these things that you said we do, its just the people that are stupid and decide to say something.

    its just a giant penny for the most part. Getting it into space will cost a bit (dare i say a pretty penny). If anything goes wrong such as a small knock off course, then that tub is gonna miss. But if it hits, we can possibly see the cult members from that heavens gate mass cult suicide thing back in the 90's. wouldnt you be damned if they were really right and the passing comet did hide a ufo behind it?

    for some time. I remember reading an article in one of my gaming magazines some time back that talked about a fanless computer. Instead of fans, it has many aluminum heatsincs(due to its great heat absorption). Of course this is shown in the article, so i dont need to go into detail. Maybe they just waited to post this on /. so then the site could be prepared to be /.ed. The site must not have prepared too well...

    im telling people that it would be a waste of money to pay for any more when there is a $20-30 silencer (as in headphones). Comparing the prices and the times when it is actually useful to have a silenced machine, id say that headphones are the best solution to a machine that makes noise. It is not just me, many people relize this, but i thought i would use me as an exaple knowing that i have the most information on me as possible... sheesh.

    this means that we get good movies now, right? cmon please? just one? My imagination is really starting to get boring. I really want to live to see another good movie like the matrix or gladiator, because buying the UBERMASTER SUPERDIGITAL verson of a movie just gets (a lack of a better word) retarded after the first remake. All im begging is that one of these companies make a good movie. Even if its not this special digitalized verson, just make a good movie damnit! And dont tell me gigli was good, oh dont even!

    my aluminum case with 4 fans. it runs at a low temperture (never crossing 70F), and it looks awesome with the see-thru pannel and all the glowing lights. best of all it keeps the feet warm! I have headphones with a built-in mic so i never hear my fans, just people yelling that their the 1337 sh!7z0rs and other random leet crap. It makes me want to hear the fans instead of the sound. IMHO its just too much money for a quiet machine that would not affect me because i couldnt even hear a bomb go off with my current setup.

    2. Questioning of the GMs decisions resulted in a mysterious Red Dragon appearing in the middle of the night to eat you.
    3. If questioning was not as severe, you could hold back the Red Dragon by getting the GM a mt. dew.
    4. the final rule. looking behind the GM screen results in immediate death, not in game... sigh, soo many holes we had to dig out back of that gaming store because of the lack of following rule #4. I miss Bob soo much...

    ... is that it would take more energy to get it super heated then it would just collecting the gas the regular way. Unless we had an atmosphere that was super hot in the first place, it would require more energy to superheat the water than what its worth. maybe instead of flaming the fact that i did a related experiment in a chemistry class, you should have kept to the point and sounded smart; but this is /. , sigh.

    all you do is some electrolisis in water and it seperates hydrogen and oxygen and you get a big tube of hydrogen. In fact i did that in chemistry last year and i didnt risk getting burned by really hot water or anything. In fact how is this make more pure hydrogen? there isnt another gas in distilled water and when the gasses seperate, they did not come in contact with any outside objects. But knowing that they said it was better, that makes it better. right? I guess this is how our society works.

    ...except for the major differences in the fact that the martian surface was bearable and people were able to live on it with no problems what-so-ever in his collection of short stories. (IMHO) i think Bradbury was really trying to explain what he felt Mars was going to be like in the future if everything stayed the same; as shown in one of his stories about the negroes going on the rocket, obviously there isnt the same discrimination today. Exploitation of Mars comes after exaustion of resources on Mars, so your almost on the money, but not quite there...

    free $$$ does not really exist. They will have to pay for these machines, have them maintained, and also pay for the electricity on the machines. This is a much costly endeveur that the the daily revenue would be negative... Oh well, it would bring much joy to me to see the telemarketers loose money and become bankrupt, that would be if really the telemarketers were not inmates (simpsons episode).

    well this reminded me of the one simpsons episode with Homer's phone spamming machine. But in all seriousness, do people really think by overriding the whole not calling list really will increase their sales. This list says that the people will not purchase their stupid crap no matter how much they call so dont even bother; and yet they still think that by overriding the list that they will increase their sales. If they actually do increase sales with this, please give me the list of who bought the crap and i will go over to each of their houses and beat every one of them, then stick their face in whatever they bought, just like an untrained dog learning to be potty trained, and say, "no...". If i get a spam phone call, i will track their house down and their house will accidently light on fire. So is it really worth it to them? i dont think so...

    the best way to do this is to get a bunch of crak addicted programmers and tell them that if they work 80+ hours a week, you will give them a fix. Trust me on this one, that not only would the work be better(by saying the better work gives more crak) but also that program would be crystal clear of errors, because crak adicts will do anything for a fix. Hell, if the government sent a bunch of druggies out to find Osamma saying he has an ounce of crak on him, hed be found in less than a week!
