  1. Re:It's like watching ugly people kiss on Microsoft Offered $40 a Share For Yahoo · · Score: 0

Yo, WTF has apple done for software besides osx. What has yahoo? Apple develops hardware products, NOT software, if they developed software products they would have an open platform. The reason OSX is as nice as it is, reason because *ding* its not open. I consistently see apple for hardware innovations, pre-released hardware innovations at that! Not software.. Safari.. uhh great.. another handbag to deal with. The point being is that apple is so cool because its basically googles hardware company, and google is cool for some reason because they drive traffic through their search engine. The great thing is that google doesn't market their products, *at all*. Umm I stand corrected they do through apple.. All in all, I would put my beans in the people that know how to market, and be a real company yahoo.. Though yahoo doesn't know how to make *useful* products as google does. Its like yin and yang. Though I would still put my beans with the salesman, a research company with no salesman is still, *just a research company* [enter google].

Have any of you actually used this? I used it myself to install inkscape (another very sweet app) and I am telling you guys, the people over at autopackage are giving you cake!! You don't even need the auto-package app on your computer, it is built into the binary. Autopackage then automatic goes out and updates it's self.. and then installs inkscape. Not only that it gives you a sweet package manager GUI. Trust me, this is definatly the way to go. Plus it is not distro dependant! It doesn't get any better!

Guys, many schools already have the PC power for grid computing, my school (university of minnesota) has over 20,000 PC's! Now how would you like to tap into that type of power? It is just a matter of PR, trends, and software. Most Pc's are just sitting idle anyway, why not use them? I just cannot speak for what type of power bill the school will be footing then ;-).

Lol, I can see it now; underground "Haxor DS", hack mario brothers style! I shows a screen with mushrooms, showing all the networks, mario hops on the network he wants. Then it shows a screen of mario dazed, and spinning around as it connects. Then it shows all the network locations, you can take mario pipes to new locations for your convience! You can hop through the network, and download files (VIA a modified cartridge with a micro drive). It would have a built in hex editor for your convience, and various other utilities. Best of all, what manager is gonna keep a network admin that was hacked by a game boy!?!? I can hear it, my nine year old did it I tell you, with his game boy. Not only that, imagine a game boy DDOS! All you have to do is get a bunch of people to hang around your favorite company, and wala, mobil e DDOS!
