I got a boss just like that. He knows alot about selling stuff but squat about technology.
Me and 2 co-workers called him in for a meeting and explained it to him. He didn't get mad and he actually signed up for some courses to get his knowledge up.
I don't know if it is wise to build a 4 billion dollar plant in such a politically unstable region. Call me paranoid but I just do not think it's such a great idea.
100 bucks for 4GB's or RAM isn't back at all. No sir. TOobad the cards costs 100 bucks and 1GB or ram generally costs 100bucks a piece where I live. So would I pay 500$ for 4GB Ramdisk. THanks but no thanks.
DISHWASHER, realy, poke out all the keys, get the elektronics out and shuff it in the dishwasher. Brandnew!. Thenafter you have fun trying to put it back together!
Awesome!
A friend of mine is a plant manager at a multi-billion pharmaceutical and chemical company (Solvay Pharma) and he knows jack-shizz about Chemistry or medicine. Yet he is a great manager. Managers don't need to know what exactly is going on. They just have to lead people. Amdn be good at management.
I charge 30$ for Windows problems. 40$ an hour for network related problems (pain in the ass). Hardware problems I charge 30$ and I bring it in at a local hardware store and they charge 25$ an hour.
People pay it and it's good business. As a student the money rolls in:D
I used to run Red Hat on my website server. But then those money greedy clods decided to charge money for updates. I switched to Gentoo (had a friend install it) and now it runs very very smooth. The administation is FAR easier then with Red Hat once it runs.
I am never changing back!
Listen it is simpel, I am a great big fan of Linux, but I bought a 4000$graphical work and gaming station last month, and yes I run Windows XP SP2 on it. It works fine. I need Windows for things like Photoshop, Illustrator and Freehand and most importantly MS Exchange for my job/hobby. On the other hand I have a good 64 bit computer which runs Gentoo, it is for browsing, type writing and other non-graphic things. I have a KVM switch so I can easily swap between the 2 systems. SO I have the best of both worlds, and really anyone who thinks Microsoft is REALLY a piece of good-for-nothing junk is very short sighted.
So I watch the news on my phone, and the battery gets drained faster then me after 10 beers. Great going.
For me phones need to do 2 things:
1. Being able to make a phone call
2. Being able to send a short message.
THe rest is voodoo mumbo jumbo.
Who concurs?

Still Time Warner owns BATMAN. That gives them the edge. Batman alone must be worth gazillions!

We had this at the lab in 1995. This shouldn't be called "News" but 'Olds"

Their prediction on WMD's was also unreliable.
THey messed up the cast for Ford. I refuse to go see this movie even though I loved the book.

So what does this do? Uninstall Windows and replace it with Linux?
That Microsoft actually makes quite decent software.
This was on Anandtech a few days ago. /. Bit redundant to post it now.
Mostly beer. ANd since beer is legal here at 16, most highschool students get hammered in the weekends. I know I did.
