Apparently Google is in possession of documents claiming Microsoft is in possession of Weapons of Mass Distribution.
In related news, it has been reported that Clippy was an early casualty - he took a direct hit from a sniper in the semi-colon. At the end, he simply wiggled his eyes, straightened, and flew away.

Yes, those applications will be magically beamed into your computer's BIOS to run on it's built in web browser.
Suuuuuuuhhhhhhhweet!!!!!!!
I have been wondering for a long time when this was coming. Hopefully this will be much faster than the java attempts at this (Thinkfree Office). I imagine some blend of Ajax would create a right snappy client. They could add online storage and charge me some change and I wouldn't mind paying. Gmail, GOffice, Google Search... I don't need no steenkin' desktop...
A made-for-tv movie staring Lindsay Wagner. Her physically-challenged daughter is just starting to make progress by listening to P2P songs when suddenly the RIAA files a lawsuit against them both. Only a last-minute visit from Madonna stops the plans of the evil RIAA. Yup.
NetBSD was ported to the device, but the project was scrapped due to the difficulty of teaching kids 9-14 how to write out the slice/partitioning stuff. Theo rejected it for OpenBSD due to possible buffer overflows with the ink mechanism.
I have ported NetBSD to run on my toaster. I have full support for quad-processing (requires four slots), hyper-breading and hot swapping. Unfortunately, fork() is not currently implemented...
I have been running a mixture of Windows and Linux boxes at home for more than 10 years. I am conscientious about anti-virus and anti-spyware on the Window's boxes. On the Linux (and an occasional BSD) boxen I just take the normal security of the distro install and update packages regularly. I also, of course, do not log in as root. The bottom line is over the years I have had to battle various vermin on the Windows boxes. I have yet to have a virus or anything like it on the Linux/BSD machines. EVER! I use Linux as my normal OS on my laptop. I am surfing everywhere, constantly checking email. I download lots of programs, install things, etc. NEVER a virus, etc. Give me a break!
Humming and whistling have been outlawed. Toe-tapping is still legal, except for the song "Wipeout". Resume normal transmission...

I signed up a while ago to get this browser, but I've heard nothing back since. Has it finally opened up to the public?

Is this the compression code they "borrowed" from Stacker?

Currently the main limitation is the long hose trailing all the cars...
Someone to build a better mousetrap!

There could be some interesting side effects if you swallowed one...

Wasting time at work: Read Slashdot
Wasting time in the university: Perform useless studies
Wasting time at Slashdot HQ: Post results of above study.
This is patently off-topic, but I couldn't resist...
The Titanic was built by professionals. When Noah built the Arch he was an amateur
In a later development, Noah was promoted by the church to a saint - St. Louis, that is.
Mod me down, resume normal transmission.
