This is a problem that we have in Inkscape as well. I would say that in general, people are excited and motivated to add new functionality. The problem is that it's not nearly as satisfying when it comes to refining and bug fixing for most devs when it's all volunteer work.

My guess is the amount of space they take up in the phone is the problem. Basically, between the SIM itself and the hardware for reading it, that's a good amount of real estate.

I'm asking this seriously. If you took said fetus out of the woman at the 9 week stage, what are the chances it would survive w/o assistance?

You also bring up "immorality"... morality in general is a very subjective thing and I personally prefer ethics.

Plain and simple, if it would kill my wife to have a baby and she got pregnant (and she would otherwise be able to live a semi-normal healthy lifespan), my guess is that I would want to keep my wife alive... however, I would still leave the decision up to her.

Have you noticed the past few releases of Illustrator adding features that Inkscape has had for years? We must be doing something right... anyway, I'm not looking to compare as it's obvious that you're here to bitch about Inkscape and not contribute anything positive.

  9. Re:Text flows! on Inkscape 0.47 Released · · Score: 1

We have base support for creating SVG Fonts even at this point... the problem now is actually with the text library (which handles fonts) not supporting SVG Fonts yet... once that's good we should be good to go in that department.

There is an AutoSave feature if you're experiencing frequent crashes. Obviously it's just a workaround, but still. As for the version number, Inkscape's version number has to do with SVG compliance and nothing else. When full SVG 1.2 is supported (if ever) would be the current goal for a 1.0.

You obviously don't know much about Illustrator files. ;) Illustrator files are PDF based, if you save as PDF while retaining the editing capabilities it is no different.

.ai files are really just PDF with special editing info stored in the file, it's no different than saving as PDF while retaining the editing bits (an option, yes I paraphrased, when saving as PDF from Illustrator).

Yeah, some people want PlayStations, others want games only available on the PS2 (Square-Enix games for example), and some others also have an investment that's worthless without replacing their PS2... It seems that the PS2 sales numbers are quite misleading due to the fact that so many current PS2 purchases are people replacing their broken PS2s, not "new" users. If you've invested a few hundred (or thousand) dollars in your PS2 and it doesn't work anymore, as much as you may not want to purchase a same name replacement due to your experience, you've already spent so much on the games and peripherals that it's not worth it to switch. Of the 11 people I know who purchased a PS2 at launch, 8 of them have had to replace their systems over the past 3 years. For the average consumer there is definitely a good amount of brand purchasing though, look at the iPod or RAZR (or an ungodly number of other products). I definitely agree there. But, for every PS2 owner I know, I also know an XBOX owner... and to tell you the truth a good number of those people own both actually. ;)
