In the article it sounds like the software uploads a hacked firmware to the iPod anyway, so perhaps a firmware fix will not be a way for Apple to kill this opportunity?
Perhaps this "asteroid" was launched by the Ruskies? We must launch our own! We cannot have an "asteroid gap!"

Would you rather ruin a child's hope with talk of wars and politics and poverty and the like, or would you rather give them something to believe in? I'd rather see a child smiling with hope that a big fat guy in red velvet is coming to deliver presents than be stressed by the issues plaguing the world. Children can only grow up so fast, and Santa is one of the things that keeps young children happy and full of hope.
Perhaps in your case, yes, but for everybody else, the brain is the most powerful computer around. Millions of "transistors" with millions of paths between them combine to form a computer on your shoulders far faster than anything you can possibly have on your desk.
Hrm, it seems I didn't word that right... The poster was saying that if you already have a palm with wifi in your posession, the software would only cost you $12.
I'm assuming you're referring to the possibility of putting a swap file on a FAT partition, where Knoppix creates a file of user-specified size to use as swap on one of your partitions. After you're done with Knoppix, the file can simply be deleted.
Look at some of ThinkGeek's peripherals. I particularly like their mini wireless mice, though those are more for laptop applications. They carry some really nice Logitech keyboards and mice which are both stylish and functional.
Slightly OT, but does the "My Computer" icon in that screenshot look anything like a Mac to anybody else? Does this mean that I'd be committing heresy if I were to install it over Windows?
According to the article, this is backwards compatible with our GPS system, so while having the capacity to be a little competitive, possibly offering features of its' own, this is really benefitting everybody involved.
They're "Autonomous Underwater Vehicles." Many of the existing AUV's are preprogrammed and surface later to be recovered by researchers after they have collected their data or need to be recharged. This has the advantage of not having to have a larger vessel up on the surface controlling the vehicle and tying up more resources.
It would be great if not only colleges but public school districts made more decisions like this, or at least encouraged the use of another browser. In our district, schools don't run Firefox simply because "the district doesn't support it." This means that web design classes, which should be switching more from the "do your HTML for flaws in IE" frame-of-mind to the "make it standards compliant and work with everything" mindset. Kind of makes you wonder what will happen once these students get out into the real world and their designs don't work under Firefox for their boss... Thank you, education.

So you mean a thumb drive to plug in to your thumb drive in order to gain access to your RSA key?

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Which can be translated to "I for one welcome our new machine overlords."
That's nothing! Back in my day, there was only 5MB of music in the entire world, and we liked it that way!
Mod parent up! His ideas are forking wonderful!
1,000 SCO shares.. The perfect gift for your in-laws for Christmas!
Yes, yes it is.
Since they say that Paint.NET is the Anti-GIMP, if I install both this software and The GIMP at the same time, will my laptop explode?
Gah, you just broke the first two rules!

Excellent work! Very useful! Is this going to stay up, or do you plan on taking it down after you've had your fun with it?
Haha, I love how this is informative! Thanks for shedding the light on the truth behind the anti-music!
I reckon you'll need a beowulf cluster of Xbo.... ahh, nevermind.

Enough with the use of the "hours" measurement for battery life, I want to hear the actual battery energy in "burning libraries of congress!"

You've been waiting for months to use "olphactory" in a sentence, haven't you.
