I got my current job because the witdth of my skill set not the depth of those skills.
Open source deffinitly plays into this as more and more corpations adopt open source products.
This seems like one more step towards the all you can eat model. For example when Internet service first came out it was billed by the hour. The same thing is happening with long distance today but there are several options for unlimited long distance. I see this being offered more and more by more and more phone companies. At some point I think the billing per minute model will have run it's course.

In today's IT environment I am sure there are 5 people waiting for the job of the guy that didn't like the way EA was treating him.
Least we not we forget the slogan on all American money: "IN GOD WE TRUST"

Heck I don't buy Windows in it's compiled form. I surely wouldn't pay for a plug nickle for the source code.

I run Firefox on my Apple. Much better than Safari or IE. Though I don't even think they are supporting IE on Macintosh anymore.
"January 12, 1965. Very snowy that day. 12.2 inches of snow that day."
It took long enough but I've got it NOW so watch OUT!
With all the bootcamps and such it doesn't take much knowhow to pass. Although there will most likely be a bootcamp for this test soon enough!
