Well, Steam is OK, However, I recently bought Civ 5 on Steam, and after purchase a second EULA came up that basically said "Oh BTW by running this software, we can take your contact/friends list from your computer and publish it on our website"
Steam support did give me store credit as a one time gesture, but said as a policy they don't do refunds, even thought the EULA appearing in the Steam UI said something like "Contact your retailer for a refund if..."
Proposed refinement, the other sides fees it capped at the lesser of the two sides fees i.e. if a company spends $1,000,000 to sue a little guy who defends himself with $1,000, the most in awarded legal fees is $1000, eighter way. That might level the playing field a lot.
It's easy enough to get updated drivers for everything else, if you have network access, but a number of times I've had a fresh OS install without a properly autodetected ethernet card. I'd like them to have some basic level of functionality with a truly generic driver.
I am against training the average TSA screener in the details of bomb construction. Every once in a while you find Firemen who are Arsonists.... No need to help them justify their own jobs.
Make sense, as those who pirate usually wouldn't be paying in any case, while those who buy used actually have some cash.
But it's also a problem with shorter games without replay value, I'd never sell X-Com, Fallout 1/2, etc. because they can be played again and again, while many games are just 'unlock the next cutscene' with a static plot and outcome.
Maybe I would have bashed them, but last night I couldn't connect to the Internet at all on my Comcast connection, so I was unaware of this other problem.
I think that's why credit card envelopes generally have "Address correction requested" or "Return Service Requested" printe on them; they are not supposed to be forwarded, but sent back to the sender.
I'm wondering if the 'Minor Traffic Violations' in question are in fact stops for using the cell phone while driving, and the data gathered is simply to show that the phone was in use at that time.
That is, before the inevitable scope creep, but my guess that's the reason they aquired these devices.
Except it's pretty hard to kill someone with the Internet; even if cat 5 makes a workable garrote.
The right to drive ends well before other peoples right to life.
To me the phrase "Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness" is an ordered list, like the 3 laws of robotics...
You have the right to live; You have Liberty, unless it endangers others lives; You have the right to do anything that'll make you happy as long as it dosn't endanger others life or liberty.
Which is why it takes the better part of a decade to get Social Security disability, unless you are missing both arms or eyes, or such; then it may only take the lesser part of the decade.
Those parents should be caning their children themselves, not depending on the schools to do it for them.
If the parents are physically disabled or something, and unable to propery cane their children, the government should put them into foster homes, where caning is done right.
I'd really like to see a story arc dealing with that the Doctor keeps regenerating younger and younger.
At the current rate, the 16th doctor might be a fetus.
I would guess that a regeneration is supposed to turn back the clock a bit, but The Doctor is dying a lot more frequently than the average Time Lord.
The limited number of regenerations (12?) is easily handwaved by saying that limit was imposed by Time Lord leadership, and The Doctor being the only Time Lord left (minus the exceptions) he can do whatever the hell he wants.
but the ISP I used at the time died (literally, it was a one man operation), so I can't get a password reset mail, and I don't remember the password anymore...
Does it run !!Dwarf Fortress!!
What bothers me most about it is, you 'have' a cold, cancer, the plauge, etc... but you 'are' crazy, depressed, mentally ill, etc...
Your post put into my mind a picture of the same doctor with a laptop, and "How to do a heart transplant" typed into a search box...
Bond shot them both.

Unfortunetly I didn't save the text of the EULA

Maybe Apple needs a Kleenex(tm) to cry into and a Band-Aid(tm) to make it all better...
I like to say the difference between Religion, Cults, and Insanity is how many people share your delusions.

Yep, it's like getting a tour of a hotdog factory.
So, Nuclear Power is like DVDs, as explained by the Red Dwarf special, Humans are simply incapable of putting them back in their cases...

Sweet, I couldn't care less about SCC, but I can't wait to see the Wave Motion Gun in action again

Protip: Give your brother in law the beer AFTER the installation, not before.

That's very, very sad.

So, you're saying that TV shows might not be real?
I know, I know, it's within the context of the show....
One of my favorite things is when good (or at least professional) actors play bad actors, like episodes about a school play.
Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I had a 4 digit UID...
