I think the real issue here is that people like to know how they rank compared to others, and reality is way to gray for that black & white approach.
While true, this reminds me of that study they did recently where they showed that peoples' happiness was more based on relative income than absolute income. Though it should be job satisfaction and the other things you mentioned that really count.
Actually I Googled for his screenname to see what lists would come up. I found the article titled "sex bots", and decided to see if it would come up first when searching for "sex bots" and it did.
Suuuuuuuuuure you did. Mmhmm, I believe you....Really!
Although its strange, because they still have some stuff on their website bashing offline advertising.
Actually, that's their customer's comment. And if you consider it, Google is solving one of two problems mentioned in that comment. They are reducing the price for "offline" advertising through deals with these publications, and packages for customers to advertise on and offline. What remains to be seen is the second part: reaching a measurable audience on the offline side.
I don't think the problem is "lacking social skills" as much as it is fitting in with the public school kids. It's like you hear all the time, particularly at a young age kids will make fun of anything that makes someone different from the norm. As the grandparent post mentioned, they develop nearly equal social skills. While it is more difficult than a school environment, there are plenty of ways to get involved in things that let you meet new people.
6. And then we'll have those people that don't really care what the topic is, but like to show how long they've been around/. by making pointless generalizations about what everyone else will say. They won't actually add anyting to the discussion, or make any relevant points or provide any insights, but they will feel good about themselves because, umm, they posted something.
Ironic, really. Of course this post falls under the same scope of irony:)
However, it is true that you'll be willing to discard discrepancies when something is fictional. But at points where events could be "real" I think there is still a possibility of ruining the illusion. Just like you mentioned about the guitar, and the grandparent mentioned the War of the Worlds. I too was bothered by the fact the camcorder was working.
Are the benefits of having such a customizable search engine enough to justify the work required to code for it? It seems like even many of the "customizable" features that you could code have already been included in the major search engines of today, and it would be difficult/impossible to beat their algorithms when they are already developing super-efficient algorithms to stay competitive. It seems like only highly specific or unusual search engine applications could make use of something like this.
If it's going to significantly cut into their profits, it's in their best interest to stop it from happening...whether it was within the limits of the rules or not. They can decide not to let you play if they don't want you to.
This would be a shield volcano
This is in direct response to Mars' unsheathing of the meteor sword.

4. Actually tested how the device performed doing its intended function? [Why would you want to do that?]
Quit complaining, it's not like this was being called an indepth review.....oh, wait.

Actually, it's the website's claim:
Yahoo Cache
Oddly, Google does not have the page cached.
Yeah, that'll go over well:
"T-shirt inspector!"
*slap*
"No, really! I am a t-shirt inspector!"
I like to ride motorcycles while wearing glasses, a monocle, an eyepatch, and a visor. And a blindfold, just to make it complete.

That must be some Plutonian-speak.

Anyone else bothered when people say ATM Machine and PIN Number? It's just ATM and PIN. Otherwise, you're saying Automated Teller Machine Machine.

I can't wait for Chuck E Google! Maybe they'll make Chuck more aesthetically pleasing :)
No really, doesn't ANYONE see what google is doing?
I only see what Google tells me to see. Must....serve.....Google........
I do like the way the entire page has a slant to the right though. Maybe some student of Freud could read something into that?
The table he wrote on was slanted.
