Yes, I didn't mean that I absolutely couldn't fill it, I have that many data. I just don't need so big a drive because I'll never have all the data on the HD.
Well, that's about 700 movies, I don't know of anyone owning more than 2:P I'm not saying noone will ever need that ever, I'm just saying that the practical uses of a HDD that big are limited. Even if it's not 1 TB, it's 2, or 3, or 4. You'll stop needing more at some point.
I am a packrat, I save everything I can get and I have found that I can't fill more than 1 TB, so I think in a year or so you'll only ever need one HDD (and they'll be cheap enough to get 2 and make a RAID array for security). I burn everything to DVDs and I have a few TB of files on DVDs, so with BluRay/HD-DVD I think pretty much all our storage needs are met. Also, as a preemptive strike, no, none of it is porn.
Rupert, did you know that the word 'gullible' isnt in the dictionary?...[passes dictionary to Rupert]... What's that, it ISNT?...[takes dictionary]... Oh, Rupert, hoisted by my own petard! Haha! Haha!......I am so alone...
When you think about it, they got a neural network from a rat to fly a plane. It's just a bunch of cells, isn't it? But the rat's brain is just a bunch of these bunches, and our brain is just a bit larger. This makes me feel like a big neural network:(
Yes, whenever I see that I keep wondering why they talk about only one section of Greece before realizing they're not:/
(for those who don't know, Greece is divided into geographical sections, the northernmost of which is called Macedonia, it is the southern part of the ancient Macedonia)
I have recently dabbled with MySpace's pages for a script I wrote, and it looks very sloppily written. If you go to the page that displays someone's friends, their name is passed in the URL along with some other useless data, such as both page number and range of results. I don't much care for it.
I don't keep notes. I find that by just paying attention (which I can't do as well while writing) I retain about 90%+ of the lecture. Besides, notes will just end up in a drawer somewhere and I'll end up studying from the textbook or not at all (actually going to all the classes and paying attention almost ensures a good final grade, for me at least).
It's a shame what big companies can get away with. I mean, no matter how you look at this, a rootkit is a rootkit, there was nothing subjective about this. Yet, the fact that it was by Sony made people keep their mouths shut. It's a shame.
Not to be a troll, but I use OSS and they tend to have no spyware whatsoever (probably because they are OSS). I use it so much that now I tend to distrust non OSS software, and only use them when I can't find any OSS that does the trick. 99% of my software is OSS though (and I use a LOT of software, not just OS/office suite).
It's withdrawn so they don't abuse it.

A Flu Pandemic?

· Score: 1
If people heard that there was a pandemic, would you trust them with all those bottles of Tamiflu (what a horrible name, by the way)? I bet many people would just take as much of it as they could before there even was a pandemic and render it useless.
Highly advanced scientists in the field of cloning do it asexually.
Bah, watch people mention a million things they can build from this thing. Big deal, I can build a whole person from DNA.
"Egyptians created from DNA"
:P
So... Normal Egyptians?
Does this mean that they're finally listening to the people? Or are there no people to listen to, and we're just the minority?

Yes, I can't fill 1 TB because I burn what I don't immediately need to DVDs.

Well, it is a company...
You don't HAVE a girlfriend.
Does this mean we won't be needing the space elevator? :-)

While we're at it, why don't we just sell the internet to Microsoft or some other big corporation and be done with it?
How long do you think it'll be before they track everyone with hypodermal RFID chips? At least we'll get some use out of it, like in this application.
Wtf is H.E.L.P.?

I don't think he's kidding.
