This is how pop psychology, urban myths mix together. However, some of us may know differently: size matters and more importantly the width. While a Danish sample, it gives an insight. Thanks.

I am not a fanboi (check my other posts :) but Apple may not be in such a difficult position after all. Here is why:
    1. Cellphones have a mean life span of 2 years, and a new-gen battery will hold that much without the need of replacement.
    2. Ad-hoc replacements are a deal-maker/breaker only in business situations where one really needs to be in contact, so a dead battery is not option but, the iphone is not for business scenarios.
    3. However, high drain (screen and wifi) might change the situation described in the other 2 points; and for 500 dollars, one might want to hold of the iphone for more than 2 years.
    SO i really don't know :)

We don't know that. In the introductory videos, there was a ringtones tab in iTunes. The iTunes store for the iPhone hasn't been launched yet, so who knows what sorts of games and additional apps will become available.

Yes we know from the review WSJ made. Mp3 will not be supported as ringtones; which is bad, because my Nokia can, and i have a beautiful Chris Rea slide guitar as a ringtone for years now. I am accustomed to it. As for the ITunes for Iphone - believe me, you don't wanna go there. 2-3 dollars for a 30 sec. clip??? Forgive me if i laugh. (nevertheless i am from europe, here it is considered a rip off).

It is not Jesus. It is not sex. It's just a handheld electronic device. But damn, if people don't try to find any little thing to put on a 'con' list.

Well i do con list every time i have to shelve 500 bucks for an item. Sorry, this is not unreasonable.

Why not add "it doesn't run Windows" to the list?

    Because that would be unreasonable.

I've seen people who say: "but the MB said it is not true, it can' be" and the whole argument came to a halt. It has become the lay-mans encyclopedia.

My point is that when a show, becomes a norm, a standard then the cast and producers should be held responsible to the inaccuracies that might appear; no matter how the show came to be or how was intended to function.
