If GameStop and EB are doing so poorly, why do they seem to be expanding so rapidly?
Surprised they are competing...

I'm stunned the explosion of the small gamestores. Prices rarely vary, and I've always ordered (or pre-ordered) my games online. I don't know how these brick-and-mortar stores can make a profit, much less cover the costs of running the store.
Maybe I have a bias because I'm PC-only, and I can usually demo the games that I'm interested in before I buy.
It sounds like a good alternative for public transportation. You wouldn't want some 16-year-old zit-faced teenager flying you around in a helicopter, would you?
The pic of the new XBox looks slick -- but why does it say X^2? You would think that if it were a legitimate picture that it would say XBox 360. That, or the whole XBox 360 name is a sham, as well.
I completely agree -- I couldn't care less about DM on any game, and wonder why anyone would play it for more than 5 minutes. OTOH, those servers always seem popular. In UT2004, I love Bombing Run, but few play it, while everyone is either on Onslaught (excellent gameply) or DM.
Well, this has to be more politcally correct than FEMA's Tsunami game, where you had to put things back where they belong after the tsunami came through town...

viral marketing campaigns have been Microsoft's (cloudmakers, I love bees)
Microsoft does know a thing or two about "viral":)
I would like to thank MS for being so diligent in protecting the everyday computer user from malicious attacks from evil-doers. Keep the patches coming!
Wow, did I hate B&W. What a thorough disappointment. Syndicate (which I think is being redone?) and Dungeon Keeper were great...but after the hype of B&W, it was a huge letdown. I loved the interface and feel, but the game simply sucked.
I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I bet very, very soon, the French will go on strike to protest this! Oh wait, when they strike, they usually don't really protest anything, but use it as an excuse to party. Maybe they'll use this card as an excuse to have a strike...
So if the PC user can play the XBox user, the games would have to identical (or close to it) to be fair and consistent. What incentive would the PC owner have to buy the XBox then? (I surely don't know -- I've never bought one. PC is ok with me).
Competition breeds creativity, innovation, and lower prices. Why do think everyone is bitching about EA monopolizing football? Because they except EA to milk the cash cow while barely making any noteworthy improvements.
What's the spin? "December quarter" is exactly what it says -- 3 months total, one including December. The only ones that are "spinning" it is Slashdot, saying "at Christmas"...

I suppose that the lack of comments so far stems from all of us waiting for the suspenseful cliff-hanger tomorrow...I can't wait!
So what you are saying is:
"All your fish are belong to us." ?

Since I don't read blogs, I guess that I am innoculated against this "threat"...

When I read portability, I think about something being portable -- like the PSP :) How about transportable???
Anyway, slim/small form factor would be an attractive feature, but not all that incredible...
I thought this Bricolage had something to do with the French word, meaning do-it-yourself...

Ah, but will the XBox 360 have the skateboarding game 720 available?
Cmon, what do Brits know about technology?

Haven't you seen Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure?
