Why would you assume everyone keeps their router near the TV? Mine is 2 floors down in the basement. That adds up to a little more than "a couple of meters of cable, nicely fitting behind the sofa".
Nice troll, but the Revolution, just like the DS, will work with any 802.11b/g router. This is just a cheap solution for those without a wireless network already in their home.
Nintendo has done freaky things with the controller before and look where it got us... Analog sticks and rumble. I hope they pull some really freaky stuff this time, given their track record.
I wish that were the case on my server (Blackrock), but I was in queue for Warsong Gulch for over an hour before giving up. There were massive amounts of players waiting to get in on both sides (I went over and took a peek at the Alliance line), however so I'm wondering if there is a limit to how many instances will spawn.
Anyone care to give a better explanation of termination shock? How hot does it get there? Can the sensors onboard obtain more information of this phenomenon? The wikipedia article doesn't go into too much detail.
Screw hybrids- just think how much gas we could save if we made all the roads downhill!
You fool. They've been working on this for YEARS. If you don't believe me, ask any old person how often they had to travel uphill back in their day. Most of them will tell you more often than not, it was uphill BOTH ways. I'm sure you've heard it. These days, on average, you usually go uphill around 50% of the time. I'd say thats a drastic improvement to our road infrastructure. It's gonna be awesome when they finish.
Because my grandmother has been using it for a few months now, and I haven't had a tech support call from her the whole time. It seriously just works. Not to mention it's both kinds of free.
Or if a CLI scares you a bit, it can be done with the synaptic package manager (you can find it in the menu). Look for repositories in the settings menu and change all instances of "warty" with "hoary". Reload the list, hit the mark all upgrades button, then apply and watch the latest Ubuntu roll in. It worked great for me with no problems. Imagine that! Doing something big with Linux and not even having to open xterm, though it's awesome to know that it's there if you want it. Ubuntu rocks!
A mysterious link appeared above my slashdot proclaiming a free day pass. I click and behold! The mysterious future appears before my eyes! Now I don't know what to do with this infinite wisdom.
Sounds like it's working to me. You're just getting one frame every 16 and a half years or so and the title screen hasn't loaded yet. Have fun playing!

I can guarantee Ninty isn't "expected" to have any kind of processor on the Revolution
That's because it isn't powered by a processor at all! It's magic!

Nothing at all suprising about it, it happens all the time.
Would be nice if it happened in the software world...
She calls the computer a "cpu" -- you know the type, points at the case and says "cpu".
Duh, that's not the CPU, it's the hard drive! Even my mom knows that.
But Gentoo can be installed in just three commands!

Oh come on. How can you tell me this guy doesn't have any nerd cred? Every Slashdotter wants this tattoo.

I turned my 6800 into a heap of melted plastic with my wannabe sk1lz!

I definitely agree on FF6 and Chrono Trigger. If not, though, FF6 is at least being released on the DS.
What about us Mac users? You insensitive clod!

It's not nice to call our friendly neighbors to the north "Barbarians". It's bad enough we are trying to change their laws.
According to the article this technology is less expensive than using poll mounted antennas or ground sensors
Poll: Mounted antennas or ground sensors. You decide!
[ ] Mounted Antennas
[ ] Ground Sensors
I fucking love my Virtual Boy you assholes!
No it isn't.
The guy behind this (I forget his name) has invested a small fortune
You're thinking of Mark Shuttleworth. Check him out on wikipedia or his own site.

something that's reusable and doesn't involve burning a metric assload of solid fuel and tend to cataclysmically explode.
Could you please convert that into American assloads, please? I have no idea what you are talking about otherwise.

Not in my backyard. Compressed air tanks can EXPLODE!
