Cellphonehacks is mentioned twice, and again in the comments. In any case, your argument is still irrelevant, as the original authors suggested freely sharing the information with others, which is the nature of such communities -- free use of information. I don't see you sharing, only flaming the people that make it available to others. Based on the number of positive comments, there were plenty of v265 owners out there that appreciated the post and had never thought this was possible. You, sir, are the lame one.
In the case of the v265, you are incorrect. The point of the article is that Verizon cripples the ability to transfer data with the data cable. We are simply unlocking that feature.
You obviously didn't actually read the post. I specifically said I wasn't providing any software links, and I mentioned my main sources, such as the forums at cellphonehacks.com, multiple times in the article.
Which is why I mentioned the great forums at cellphonehacks.com several times in the article. I never claimed to come up with it all myself, in fact I said that had I assembled the information from a variety of sources. To spend hours researching and tracking down the original authors is a bit much for a simple blog post.
The Nobel Prize in mathematics was awarded yesterday to a California professor who has discovered a new number. The number is "bleen", which he says belongs between six and seven.
How about replacing a hard drive with flash chips for ultra-compact PCs? I know a lot of devices use this and some people boot linux off usb flash keys, but what about a built-in flash HD interface?
No, according to the Knight, the power of the grail would be lost once they crossed the seal in the chamber where Connery was shot. Whoever wanted to live forever had to stay within the confines of the cave, supposedly to protect the grail until the next challenger arrived.
Back when AOL used to take unlimited requests for their software on floppy disks, I ordered hundreds (maybe thousands) of them, formatted them, and used them how I saw fit.:0 Free disks!
But I just got 2 AOL CD's in the mail today. Doh!
I like Firefox 1.0 so much that I've been putting it on my client's computers to spread the love... Maybe I should secretly replace their Outlook as well?
DDoS them, sue them, whatever it takes I guess. Maybe we can't stop them from changing ISP's and moving servers around to avoid attacks, but maybe M$ can eventually bankrupt them. Use evil to fight evil?
So I guess 'nanotechnology' is now a marketing buzzword?

This does not apply to the phone model featured in my post.

... except when it doesn't. Or, 'it just works' when we come out with service pack 38 in a couple years.
We should be using the Microsoft Grammar Checker to generate our passwords. That way, dictionary attacks will never work!
In Soviet Russia, encryption cracks YOU!
In Soviet Russia, Gentoo compiles YOU!

That stuff is gonna be worth a lot of money some day, when a kid digs it up in their back yard. On Mars. You know, after we all move there.
100 terabytes of storage and we're still using magnetic tape... A fragile, 60+ year old technology?
Just look for a good player-run shard, there are plenty of them out there that have what you want, plus they're free. www.runuo.com

I also understand that the violent shooter-type games are not nearly as popular in Japan as they are in the US, and that they are mostly shunned.

Nothing beats hardly ever having to manually install and compile packages and dependencies yourself. :)
Now all I need is:
emerge girlfriend
Nice, now we can tweak our PDA's until the LCD screen melts! :)
Actually Gentoo is still my fav distro, not matter how much we Gentoo geeks get bashed.
