What we need is someone to create a device that plugs into the Floppy port, then provides an external USB port. Suddenly your computer will see the USB as Drive A! Somebody should be able to figure this one out!
"I think it's good to let my son do whatever he wants," the father said. According to him, when Yoo-geun is engrossed in solving math problems or doing games, he often concentrates on them for up to 14 or 15 hours.
I always thought that with the way most Koreans kick my butt in the MMORPGs that they all played games for 14-15 hours at a time....
In a related News Article, the U.S. Government unveiled new security measures for their classified documents:
An unidentified official was quoted to say: "From now on all U.S. Government Documents will include the word 'Democracy' used liberally through out the text."
Most of being in a combat location like that is long hours of boredom punctuated by moments where you get the crap scared out of you. I think its great that so many guys got together for something that really boosted moral!
As for the mail servers not handling it? How many places will let you send a 50 Mb file easily, but cant handle 30 people trying to send one at the same time? A lot I would guess....
That Mike Bolesta guy is probably one of them ignorant foreigners from New Mexico! Imagine someone trying to pass off a phony two dollar bill! Good thing Americans are all more skeptical since 9/11!!!!!
This is just one more instance of someone else trying to tell me what I can or can not watch. They use the excuse that they are protecting our children. In effect they are trying to tell me what I should and should not let my children watch. I don't need someone else making decisions for me! I personally monitor what my children watch, and I don't need someone else telling me right from wrong.
If it was up to these types of people, the only thing that would be on TV is the Christian Broadcasting Channel.
After 288 clicks on the little calendar thingy I was able to add this event to my Outlook Calendar. Though I REALLY hope I don't still work here then.....
Will Outlook 2029 be able to read my old calendar by then?
I'm feeling pretty pessimistic about this but if your interested here is the address to send your "Please Don't Cancel the Show" Letters:

Your right, I'm not an physicist, that's why I was asking the question.
Since I was Trolled instead of answered I will try to rephrase my question (with out spelling errors).
Does the Microwave push against the sail or does it heat the paint on the sail which causes the thrust by emitting the CO2 mentioned in TFA?
It seems to me that if the latter is the case, then other than having to move the additional weight of the emitter it would make sense to take it with you in order to get back home/navigate around.
Lawyer: So what did you do today son?
Son: I down loaded some Fansubbers material.
Lawyer: What are Fansubbers?
Son: [insert explanation here]
Lawyer: To Arms! We Must Sue these vile pirates!
Ok, so I have come to the basic conclusion that this is not really a sail with an external force pushing it. Instead it is a large surface covered in paint (basicly the fuel) that when heated to a boiling point will emit gasses that produce thrust.
Now I'm no mathmatician, but I guess it comes down to which is more efficient, a large surface, or a small (relatively) rocket nozzle, providing thrust?
Also since it is the paint (fuel) of the "sail" providing the trust, can't you attach the power supply and microwave emiter to the craft? I mean it's not pushing the craft, its just heating the "sail" that produces the thrust....
All the terrorist still say that Americans are still a bunch of self centered money grubbing capitalists that need to die. Maybe next time they will fly a plane into Microsoft headquarters because Bill didn't donate money to there latest problem.
This will probably only work if they can develop inteligent mechanical snake-like arms that weld to a man's spine and incorporate some kind of neural-nanotechnology interface to help contain the Fusion Reaction.....
Once while attending a class at Veritas, the instructor told us of a customer who used to work in one of the World Trade Towers for a major company.
Seems this Companies off site storage location was in the other Tower. I guess the customer in question thought this was a stupid idea so he regularly took backup tapes home with him, and did so on Sept. 10th.
Long story short this guy saved the companies bacon and now is the "VP of Systems Data Recovery" (or some stupid shit like that).
I dont know if this is true or a good BS story from Veritas, but it does make you think....
This article looked to me like he was trying to justify to himself why he just spent so much more money on an LCD (probably one of the "17" LCD monitors currently available from ComputerGeeks.com") instead of buying a CRT.
Yeah LCD's are cool, and I use a Sun 24" LCD at work (which is Awesome), but until I can get the performance (talking video games here) out of an LCD that I get from a CRT - at a resonable price, CRT's will continue to get my money.
Bottom line Price and Performance beats Size and Weight anyday.
We use Lightwave Console servers http://www.lightwavecom.com/ on our headless systems here. They are really a simple idea, connect the console server to the network, then using cat5 and special adapters you connect the Console Server to the Console port on the system in question. They also make versions that have kvm output for servers without console ports.
This works great for large computer rooms as well as for managing servers that are not centrally located. Using the Lightwaves we even administer servers in other countries. Except for pushing a power button there is nothing we can't do to a remote machine.
I know this isn't what you were looking for in terms of portability, but its a usefull option for managing several servers all from your cubicle in another location.
Joining the military is a great way to start if you want to step into either a contractor or Gov employee job.
I may be biased (still in by the way) but the best branch has to be the Air Force. Join the Navy if you like spending half your life at sea, join the Army or Marines if you want to be on the front lines, Join the Air Force if you want to sit back in an A/C office actually doing an IT/CS job.
Also if you want to do IT/CS in the Air Force you can claim a job and (as long as you have the scores) you can wait until that job opens, then enter. As for education I can get free education while I'm in, and use that to get that much better a paying position in those Contracting jobs when I get out.
I guess when it comes down to it, the Military is just another way to network with others to find a better paying job.
This is a good idea, as long as there will be a natural resource tax to reduce hoarding and speculation.
