  1. Re:On a related note... on Move Over BoxeeBox, Here Comes PopBox · · Score: -1

I have one and I was trying to figure out why it wasn't mentioned along side the 3 others. Don't get me wrong, I'm really excited to see what Popbox and the new boxee have to offer, but so far the WD TV Live is really impressive for media streaming. For such a tiny little box it handles every high def x264 I throw at it as well as tons of other formats. Streaming is super fast and there is virtually no delay even when playing, fast forwarding, rewinding huge 1080p movies over my network. The only thing they're missing is a nice interface like the popbox seems it will have when it comes out. WD TV Live definitely deserves to be a contender though.

  2. WebOS anyone? on Google Announces Chrome OS, For Release Mid-2010 · · Score: -1

I just don't get why Google doesn't just buy out palm and turn WebOS (currently only on the Palm Pre) into a desktop OS. We all expect WebOS to eventually be ported over to netbooks and other devices, and truthfully it seems way more polished than android or any other mobile OS out there. It basically already has the capability to do everything google is looking to accomplish with this new Chrome OS.

I agree that well educated teachers are extremely important for educating children, but your view of a bachelor's degree obviously stems from some sort of liberals arts degree at a crappy institution. If you've ever taken engineering/science/math courses at a reputable top 10-20 school then you'd have a lot more respect for what it takes to finish a bachelor degree. Receiving a masters degree in many science/math majors will do very little for a teacher in a 7th grade science class.

The Bush Administration is pushing for bigger government, great ... just great. He's a Republican too? I'm so confused. yea, sadly Republican isn't as synonymous with "conservative" as it should be. Bush has done many things that just have no place in conservative politics. Sadly, this is why most voters go to the polls with the "lesser of two evils" mindset than a strong support for any specific candidate.
  6. Different sizes fit in wallet? on US Paper Money Discriminates Against the Blind · · Score: -1

I may be missing something since I've been so used to identical sizes in currency for so many years, but it seems that it would be extremely awkward to design different size currency that could fit in standard US wallets. Would this mean that your new money would be popping out in all different directions, and even in the best case everyone in the US would just have to buy all new wallets? Before this happens, I'm investing in some wallet companies!

Why not just lie? Though this may sound absurd, it's kinda the first thing that came to mind when I read this article! Ok, so maybe you shouldn't lie, but I know most people that left my previous employer would just say "I don't know yet" when people would ask where they were going to. Some people would say "I'm going back to school". There is absolutely no reason you would have to tell your managers at micro$oft that you're going to google. If you have a good relationship with your manager, then I'm sure it probably isn't an issue.
