or even exploited in some nefarious way by some person.
Cue eerie music.
Don't disable this Windows option. Instead, stay paraonoid. It's more fun.
Perhaps someone may nefariously steal the hard drive from the computer and nefariously undelete data.
Aha, did you see YOUR spelling mistake?... Well I didn't either! Dammit it's perfect! I so wanted this one... wish me happier trolling the next time... until we meet again....
I hate to say it, and I'm only going to say it this once, but I'm seeing this story and most others on Digg.com first.
Of course it's because the story gets held up at/. because the moderators have to review it whereas at Digg.com the promotion of the story is almost instantaneous by the users.
I like Slashdot's commentary system better, because there is more room for discussion compared to the Digg system which seems to be based on quick snippets expressed here and there before the edit timer runs out or the next stories come rolling in fast.
But... I already commented on Digg dammit! I have less energy for/. I just might be moving over to the dark side of the force. Luuuuuke.
(I expect to be modding down because this post is completely off topic, but at least I got to say it once, and only once.)
The term "beta" means the product is not yet in release mode -- or not yet complete. So it's not even a point worth complaining about... yet;)
If the product goes into release mode, and the problem still exists, then your point would be valid.
To see what beta means, see Google definitions of beta at Google that relate to software development.
Once you understand beta, you will understand why your post is jumping the gun.

I'm a radio amateur, don't know what that is? Look up ARRL on Google and educate yourself.
You might be surprised at how many people around here understand or are involved in the hobby. Just saying, you're probably not blind-siding us with the technology.
They'd download it Purpose place for WFT!!! No one can accuse me of using perfect grammar all the time (actually, most of the time) however this is a professional ad guys, not some highschool hijinx or grafitti
The ads will says "World's best word process..." and lists off all the products. These are tactics I expect from Microsoft, not the Open Source world. I know the name of the game is to get the most attention and the most people trying your product (especially at a $10k price tag to advertise)... that I respect, but OO.Org is definitely not the best software package for those jobs. Don't get me wrong -- it's really good, it's growing, and I use it and love it. The tactics suck, plain and simple. This advertising is no better than we see from any other large corporation. There's obviously enough creativity in the open source community to be able to hit these ads from a multitude of other angles that are more truthful. I think it's unfortuneate and I hope the strategy is altered before these ads go to market, especially because MS Office power users (note: not necessarily day-to-day users) are going to be disappointed and word-of-mouth can be equally detrimental as it is good.
...sit in from of the computer a lot (right now for example)... No bath necessary.
Ex-friends say it's because of how bad I smell you insensitive clod!
even though I can run older versions of CorelDraw and Illustrator on my FC5 box, I've really come to value Inkscape even though it doesn't have the collection of power tools that the Windows vector apps have
I was looking for comparisons, and this serves me well. From somebody in the trenches it's comparable to older versions of CorelDraw and Illustrator. I wish the creators of these packages had more time and resources to push them up front into the running. I would like to see Inkscape burst out and be widely used and competitive to the most popular applications.
Just like ducks today are here... to scourge us! Really, I think the fossilized ducks died and sank. There is no evolutionary link stated in the story even though they use the term. Very interesting. I'm baffled.
The fossils even reveal impressions of feathers, webbed feet and other rare details, though none of the remains include a skull.
Um... they found an old duck... and we still have ducks today... and... um... can somebody please help me out figure out why the story title says "Scientists Find Missing Link in Bird Evolution". Thanks.
Is a high-definition cartoon really better than a regular cartoon? I don't think so. Either way the cells are coloured or shaded. More detail in a cartoon isn't too impressive because it's not the kind of detail that matters, compared to real-life actors.

That's recent news. The service isn't useful with this token historic date.

to a single person who lived during the Golden Age of Greece. That guy must've been a stud.
So where do you apply for that sort of thing nowadays? I cannot find the classified for "Need single point for future ancestry". I'd even volunteer.
Um ... excuse me Mr Ballmer ... um ... can we move to an office with no chairs, or lighter chairs please

Moving around the panoramic screen shots makes me more queasy than moving inside the game at low FPS. Yeck *green*

Well, 3 friends is better than none.
How good kids get turned into idiots.
Exactly my point. It instead says "World's best". 'Nuff said.
