well its okay until that server's market is flooded with gold. Then they'll have to reroll on another server and hope the asian gold farmers don't follow:(
and then average internet user X ends up with a virus after downloading pr0z0rszzz.exe off of said P2P network. On P2P networks Darwin's Theory reigns supreme.
So I can finally block all the "x the y to win a free z" ads? Those almost piss me off enough to make me go out and buy z just to spite x, y and w (the ad company).
Now we too can participate in the revenue generating flash supported articles that are linked from slashdot!!!! They're not just for the windows crowd anymore!
I was simply joking that it seems easier to install from a pirated source than it does from a regular one. My laptop for example didn't even come with a reinstall disc, it asked me to burn a backup of my system to 2 DVDs instead. Hell, they didn't even give me the 2 DVD-Rs to burn it to, the cheap bastards. I'm never going to find those DVDs now, so I may aswell reinstall using a pirated disc if I ever have to.
those non-pronouncable ones are (here's a hint) going to be released in Japan. JAAA-PAN. A place to the west of North America (or very far east, depending on how you look at it) where people can pronounce those names because they speak Japanese. I know it's a tough concept, but keep going to school and you too may grasp it some day.
Actually Dead Rising is one of the best games in the last few years. Personally I also enjoy Chromehounds and Import Tuner Challenge. I did enjoy 99 Nights until it broke my 360 (their warranty program is absolutely amazing though, gave me a brand new machine in a matter of days)
Though I do agree that the lineup has been fairly weak. In a whole year there should be too many good games to count on your fingers and toes.
If its MCE/Xbox360 you better hope to god its in WMA format. . . Last time I tried that combo none of my divx/xvid/ogm/mkv files played. Hell, even the DRM'd demo of an h264 wma that came with my laptop wouldn't even play. On top of that I spent about 3 hours looking for a way to add more playable codecs to MCE or Xbox360 brought me to the conclusion that it is not possible.
yeah sorry about that. In my haste to make a drug related sub-joke I forgot to type in the part where it becomes part of Microsoft's ad campaign. . . ah forget it, SHAME ON ME.
why does everyone assume games will get biggger. I bet that for all the games that are "maxing out" the 25gb BRs not one of them's game data is using any more than 8gb. The rest is just uncompressed or less compressed AV. On top of that Once Procedural synthesis of game environments starts to gain some foothold in the industry the game data sizes will be even less significant probably in the order of tens or hundreds of megabytes. On top of that, who says we need to download the entire game to start? All we really need to get started is the opening movie/title screen, and the first few levels (and all its assets ofcourse) how about games by episodic content like Half-Life series is going, or say, while playing the single player game it continues to download the necessary assets for continued playing.
you forgot to mention that they ARE opposed to digital distribution UNLESS it is crippled with DRM to the point that I more than likely WILL have to buy it AGAIN.
THE END IS NIGH!!

you mean people don't open a tab to type their wittiosities and compulsively refresh the first tab to make sure they haven't been beaten to the chase?

I wonder if you realize that the FP said that already. . .

This is your boss, please come to my office to receive your bonus for helping me with my pr0n/X360/MCE troubles.
This sillyness is brought to you by: Company policy and that creepy stocky fellow in HR, he's coming for your children!
I don't know about you but I'll be downloading it shortly before release. thank RoboGod for torrents and 0 to -n day releases.
2 games. . . from EA Megacorp, #1 What do you expect to happen?
#2 Definitely not indicative of all PC games.

DRM and Proprietary formats for the win!
Yes, now you're only allowed to drive 50 miles to assault someone with an axe handle.
Last I checked I wasn't self absorbed. . . Please elaborate on why my legitimate concerns about getting screwed over by the RIAA is self absorption?
I thought the general rule in adding new harddrives is to format them whether or not they came preformatted. . .

Yeah, everyone knows the pirated windows CDs work much better!

That's not just any smoke, take a big huff of that and you'll more than likely see Puff the Magic Dragon.
yes but the buttstock costs extra.
