Instead it basically said, "Your system must be restarted because of a problem. Please press the power button..." etc
Doesn't such a nice and generic message make troubleshooting the problem rather difficult? Atleast windows gives you a bunch of gibberish that could, had you enough patients, be used to pinpoint the problem.
The stars who make $xxMillion per movie? The crew who was paid before the movie was released to theaters? Or the already rich management bastards at the movie company?
What justifies the belief that because someone makes a lot of money they eventually reach a point where you (your defintion) consider them too wealthy, and so whatever they've worked hard on should become free?
If Microsoft is so much better why does IE still not support semi-transparent PNGs or CSS fixed positioning while every other browser has done both for literally years? Is it because you don't care or because you can't actually get it to work?
Microsoft has stated several times now that they do not plan on making any kind of substantive update to IE until Longhorn (with security being an exception). Now whether this is good policy or not is up for debate, but it completely explains their lack of fairly recent standards compliance.
Great in principle, bad in implementation? They use cheaply soldered stuff and fail really easily -- it's happened to my friends, too. Comments?
Same happened to me. I've been running my X-Connect for about 5 months and it makes a horrible screaming noise during any processor intensive task. At the same time, all the cathodes in my case dim. It's a pretty scarey sight. Also, for whatever reason, the air being exhausted from it physically burns me. It's THAT hot. It's doing something horribly wrong =(
I have a Super Flower 550w modular supply sitting in my room ready to install, hopefully it will do better.
But what happens to the car behind you who's too close and doesn't have this system and your car brakes sharply
The idea behind the technology is that the computer knows that most the time the car infront of you stops it's not necessary to *slam* on your breaks. It knows immediately how slowly you can break so as to keep your driving smooth but also slow down fast enough.
Bottom line, this technology would cut down on sharp breaks.
This may be an interesting read for anyone concerned by scientific coverage in the media [cjr.org]. It basicly says unless you're a scientist it's very hard to determine what's a well thought out theory and what's not, and journalists try so hard to balance the coverage of the well known and unknown that they often will given too much exposure to a theory well understood in scientific circles to be junk.
Seriously though, why is it such a horible thing to have an alternate view presented.
Because if we weren't Christian Creationism would be some fantastic unprovable idea. Why would we teach something in a science textbook that has not, as of yet, survived the scientific method? The very foundation of science is the discovery of idea through observable and sensical facts - Creationism's only primary source is a book no one can claim is near 100% consistant in any capacity.
We're not talking about sociology class, we're talking about SCIENCE.
Interestingly enough, Freedom of Speech doesn't apply to the government - it applies to ordinary citizens. That's like saying the government can say whatever they want, including outright lies, because of "freedom of speech." That's not true.
So chemicals that hurtle tons of metal off our planet aren't BENEFICIAL to my health?
Whoever sat and thought "well I KNOW I'm eating rocket fuel but I'm pretty sure it's cool." I'm more surprised we're consuming it at all- not that it's slightly detrimental to my health to do so.
Now, in 2004, AT&T Cingular are one, and my GoPhone service is little more than a renamed Take Charge service.
As far as prepaid is concerned you'll never find a better service than GoPhone as far as minutes are concerned and available features. Infact, GoPhone was SO tremendously popular it caused AT&T Wireless's selling in an indirect way. They had been testing a new GSM customer care system because they knew the current rendition of Siebel could not handle much more than their current GSM subscribers - it wasn't fully tested and suddenly GoPhone popped on the scene and they had to push it out. This resulted in nearly 3 months of lost activations, and consquently ATTWS's buyout.
Fyi tho, Cingular intends on keeping the GoPhone the way it is I do believe.
Just think of the dinner conversation you could start by telling everyone that you're a member of the International Chicken Genome Sequencing Consortium!
Me: Mom, Dad! I'm now a member of the International Chicken Genome Sequencing Consortium!
Dad: Robotic chickens will never rule me! WE DO BATTLE!
International Chicken Genome Sequencing Consortium
Does that make anyone else scratch their head and wonder what other kind of downright stupid consortiums we have? I mean it's a noble cause, no doubt, but calling it a consortium feigns a certain amount of dignity to chicken research that I'm not prepared to give.
But I say let's send manned missions where they're most valuable: to the moon, to mars. Not to swap batteries on Hubble.
The Hubble has taught us 100x more about space and it's origins than that one trip to the moon. It just nearly killed a few guys so Kennedy (posthumously) could laugh at the Russians.
Yes we do each do have different things that motivate them but most Americans are slackers. This is in the way that they don't really like learning, and therefore will take useless entertainment over beneficial invetions and technology anyday
It's more that Americans are much more conservative with our entertainment, and our money. 90% of Americans don't see a NEED for a robot that flashes lights, does your dishes and explodes randomly. I'm sure WE all do, but remember the community we're apart of here. It's all about what America's consumer driven economy can handle - it's not for lack of our ability to create these products, it's a lack of market.
Your logic is infallible. But, again, The Bible is a book based around something we can't prove to exist, so I think your argument can be applied more generally.
My point is people who believe 666 is evil aren't obsessed with evil, or stupid (as the previous post's utterly simple logic would imply) but that they're CHRISTIAN.
I don't play on Live because my box is modded, but I do play with my friends and what I dislike so much is the propensity for immediate death in almost every scenario.
I find it very hard to believe moving up in ranks reduces spam (why would it? You hold down two triggers and it effectively kills everything in seconds) but still allows you to run behind them and punch. I guess since I don't play on Live, this is just my inability to imagine - but it seems rather outlandish.
For instance, halo2. Run around them in a circle, get behind their back and melee them (donkey punch).
I have to instantly object to that as a scenario - who in God's name would allow you to do that in Halo? As soon as you see someone you're immediately killed by dual weapon spam anyway =(

If anyone's primary reason for choosing BSD was the Demon logo than their subscriber base is either:
1. a bunch of whiney teenagers
or
2. fantasticly whimsical in their software selection
Microsoft has stated several times now that they do not plan on making any kind of substantive update to IE until Longhorn (with security being an exception). Now whether this is good policy or not is up for debate, but it completely explains their lack of fairly recent standards compliance.

Well SBC just had recent success with the Cingular-AT&T Wireless acquisition. I suppose it has no reason to believe it can't be done properly.

I don't imagine that it could since it teaches us about space.

Good lord I've never seen such a tremendous teen labeling campaign =x
Since we eat a lot of chicken you deem is appropriate this group be labeled a consortium?
Does that make anyone else scratch their head and wonder what other kind of downright stupid consortiums we have? I mean it's a noble cause, no doubt, but calling it a consortium feigns a certain amount of dignity to chicken research that I'm not prepared to give.

Most people you know are out of college and living with their parents? You need new friends, man.

I suppose you're just now realizing a 1ghz computer will serve 99% of your computer needs too =x
TECHNOLOGY IS FUN.
Or you read the bible. I don't believe it myself - but if you take stock in the Christian thing the Good Book's pretty clear on the matter.
