    1. Vonage uses Comcast pipes.
    2. They could shut of Vonage anytime they wanted.

    The telecom companies are going to have to adapt by reducing prices and adding features for free to match or come close to VoIP providers.

    As it is, why would I pay $30 for a simple line with only local calling when I can get unlimited long distance, call forwarding, call conferencing, caller ID, call waiting, voicemail (with online access), etc. for $25?

    It's ridiculous.

    I'd call that Powerbook a technological wonder. 1 GHz is approximately 751 times faster than 1.33 MHz by clock speed alone and their performance was comparable?

    By the way, where did you get such a beast? I've never seen a G4 running at such a low clock cycle.

    True, but no spam filter is perfect and dependent upon how much spam he's bringing in, the amount let through may require him to login once a year.

    You have to pay for POP3 access. AdBlock isn't perfect for removing the ads (I still see "Advertisement" and it takes up room).

    Titanium iBook? What are you talking about?

    iBooks don't cost $2000.

    Powerbooks used to be made with Titanium, but that was yesteryear and now they all are made using Aluminum. Neither is hardly plastic.

    There is plugin for WordPress. However, the problem is that now even legitimate comment links won't have an effect, which is going to skew Google's results to favor only story links. I'm not sure we appreciate the full ramifications of this quite yet.

    Check your math. 30 X 10 = 300 (dollars per week) 300 x 4 = 1200 (per month) 1200 x 2 = 2400 (per clerk for 2 months) 2400 x 2 = 4800 (for both clerks) That's $200 off. But you mentioned as low as 8.50. Recalculated: 2040 for two months. So it takes 5 months to about break even. But let's assume for the sake of argument that $1400/month is accurate. That means it'll take 3.5 months. So what? You still recoup your costs quickly and then just soak up the money you save for YEARS.

    Right, because paying more for a color accurate LCD with built-in firewire and USB 2.0 hubs isn't worth it to some people.

    Defrag?

    1. You can defrag a Mac if you have that burning need to that you feel in your loins.

    2. It's hardly as necessary with HFS+ (at least compared with FAT filesystems).

    Good backpedaling. The cost of Apple's LCDs is more than other manufacturer's, but they're also some of the most color accurate LCDs out there. And yes, some people do find that important.
