  5. Sneakemail on Distributed Spam Detection · · Score: 1

The Sneakemail service is my favorite spam-fighting tool.

Log in to Sneakemail every time a website asks for your email address. They give you a unique address (@sneakemail.com) which you then give to the website. At the Sneakemail site, you can configure it to either forward, hold, or trash your mail.

For instance, you can tell it to trash mail sent to your "RealAudio" address and hold mail sent to your "Google" address. Each time someone sends mail to any of those addresses, it sets up a new filter rule, which you can later change: mail from CmdrTaco to your "Slashdot" address can go through, but j12h31j2hjh@hotmail.com mail to "Slashdot" can be trashed.

Certainly you can do this yourself if you run your own mailserver, but this is easiest for me.

I'm skeptical of the practical uses of GPS by space objects. Here's my reasoning:

By using GPS, you are limited to the locational accuracy of the GPS satellites. How old are those satellites? Surely some aspect of the technology they use to determine/maintain their own position has advanced in the time since they were launched. Hence, I would expect a new satellite to be better able to know its position without using GPS.

But hey. Research whatever you like, usually some good will come from it.

As a NH resident who supported him for Senator (and Governor too) this really bothers me. I may just have to send him a Strongly Worded Letter (tm).

    How about this:
Start with "I love NH, Freedom, and the leading role NH has played in securing liberties" (live free or die is a mostly true thing)

Explain my background: Crypto student and now developer of a crypto device for the DoD.

Give business+privacy reasons why this is bad: trade secrets, lawyer/doctor client priviledge, love letters etc.

Give security reasons: "when guns are outlawed ..." and explain that terrorists won't upgrade, and the single-point-of-failure issue (one k1dd13 who cracks a govt website now has access to everyone's data)

Closer:"thanks for reading, I hope we bring whoever is responsible to justice, but limiting American freedoms is not the way to fight Attacks on Freedom"

What points did I miss? This is only a very rough outline, and it's early in the morning.
