Hey, that brings up an excellent Idea... Lets put O'sama in Space. Then there will be lotsa money for space exploration. It wouldn't be too hard, now that spaceship one is a go....
Also, the Libertarian party has some ideas that are dangerous ideas, like legalization of marijuana, which is a non-addictive drug that makes people introspective and thoughtful. It often makes young people think that there may be more to life than competing in the rat race.
Yes, this is why corporate america seeks potheads to staff highly sensitive positions... Because waking and baking makes you so much more thoughtful.
Of all the really bad arguements you could have chosen, you picked this one... I would have much rather gone with a just as evil / good as alcohol arguement. At least with that one you don't have to sell MJ so hard, just point out all of the evils of alcohol (cirrhosis,DUI,sleeping with undesirable people).
Maybe if you weren't so busy being insightful you might have thought of that one on your own.
This is one of the main reasons I get all my news from the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. At least then I know it's all fake.:)
The sad thing is, even for a fake new show, Jon does better political commentary and analysis than any of the other major networks. Mainly because they can maintain nuetrality by poking fun at everything.
Not to mention Jon is probably the only news outlet that gives Nader any time...
It might be just me, but this almost seems like a blatant add. What is the news content in this? We all ready had the press release, why do we need another kool-aid dose for this limited use toy?
Here is a major problem with the above statement...
How does Florida handle it's retirement program? If you move to Florida when you grow old, who should be responsible for your medical / financial needs? The state you came from, or the state your going to?
Welfare I think can work at the state level, but not benefits, since those need to move with an individual.
Healthcare should not be socialized. Ever. Want to see how failed the system will be, join the military. Actually, I think they even are moving more towards an HMO system.
Yeap, and unless you like throwing money out the window, there is no reason to select that. Most of the time I order a system, it seems that a vanilla (OS-less) load is more expensive than a pre-loaded machine.
Its not just the Fare schedules (or lack of). I know some people who won't fly because of the additional "security." I don't blame them. I have spent way too much time in an airport, and dealing with the current system is a royal pain. The best part is getting stuck behind the morons who have no concept of what a metal detector is.
The only people who have benefitted from this extra security are the friends of congress who have gotten extra financing for equipment / manpower / etc...
I was thinking that after 10 hours and $800 dollars, I could have rebuilt the box with an AMD64 / SATA / Win XP, and pull the data off of the old drive.
I guess the point of this article is, at what point do you make the decision to just start over? I have found that my comfort time is 50% of reinstall time.
Is it possible to sue the class action lawyers for causing an additional artificial drop in price? I understand the anger, but really, this is just a simple issue of conforming to the myriad of rules.
Funny how this seems to have gained momentum almost overnight, but yet the real crooks are continuing to operate. I'm not just talking about the Enrons, I am more concerned with the fund managers and such. The ones who pimped such winners as Worldcom (and refused to sell it when the end was inevitable(sp?).
I really hope that the courts can knock this class out early.
Wow, I never said anything about Homo's. I agree with you that the whole same sex marriage is a horrible idea, mainly because if we lower the standards for marriage, then what becomes the test for acceptable behavoir.
I agree with you that christians for the most part get blasted immediately, while we accept deviants without a peep. I just want to remind you that even christianity has done some pretty crazy things. So just remember, while its not right for others to abuse the right to express opinions, there is no reason to get all extremist. As my friend the fundalmentalist says, "I pray that they find the folly of their ways."
and a Radeon 9800 Pro (if you're not playing games, get a cheaper video card).
Heck, if you do want to play games, get a cheaper card. ATI has yet to release the 64 bit driver for X, so no 3d for us. Makes me wanna find my old Matrox G-400 and fire it up again.
The waste problem is not completely political. Check out this story about how there are thousands of tons of nuclear waste sludge in South Carolina that simply can't be dredged out and taken to some storage site in Nevada or Washington state.
I'm not sure if you read the article in the link you provided, but the "sludge" you are referring to comes from the Nuclear Weapons programs, which for some reason seem to have gotten a lot of free passes when it came to safety and environmental issues. And the whole TMI thing is blown way out of propotion. I lived 30 Mins from that reactor and there was no evacuation, no mass deaths, none of that. Of course there have been hundreds of refinery fires, but I guess that the massive release of CO2 and god knows what from those must be safer than TMIs increased radiation levels.
But beware, ALL of the 2.6 kernel based distros are currently dealing with the dual boot problem
Hmm, my Gentoo on amd64 dual boots with no issues, and I'm running 2.6.5. Granted, dual boot would really bo more of an issue of the boot loader, in which case, grub would be more to blame. Maybe that is why the bootloader for my system is backlevel?
Sorry, geeks, your email server will no longer work...
All ready happened. Most of the major providers started bouncing email coming from unregistered IPs or from known DSL / Cable Modem blocks. Took me a while to figure out why people weren't getting my emails...
Funny thing is, the actual case involves retirement / pensions. Something about them changing the rules on how things get paid out, and not grandfathering people properly. One of my friends is in the group that was too young to maintain the old plan, so he is watching this case pretty closely....
As for outsourcing to a company in India that only hires 20 somethings.... I guess the deplorable living conditions are only a small part of the outsourcing tragedy.
Actually, I don't even think Patrick Stewart could make up for the absolutely pathetic writing.
It just feels like the cast has had to make up for so much bad writing / plot design, that it comes off heavy handed. I don't mind Bakula as a captain, and I don't even mind the "emotion" addicted vulcan. It kinda explains the whole vulcan distrust of humans (not cuz we are flawed, but emotion is like a drug).
I just think that it is sad that the writers ignore so much of what has been written / developed around the Star Trek universe. Of course, I have always disliked time-travel in trek, and that could be why this show grates on me so bad. It also could be the fact that the older ships seem to have the same technology as the later ships, just less power. It woulda been cool to see a Rail gun or something like that. Not to mention, Ablative armor seems a heck of a lot tougher than shields...
I think that this is the main problem with Paypal. People look at thier account in the same light as a bank account. Unfortunately, there are none of the same protections that a bank account would afford. There is nothing preventing paypal from shutting down today and taking all the money stored in it away. Sure we could file a class action, but those never work out (here are your free $25.00 coupons).
Because maybe, just maybe, since there is so much ground to make up in this one, there won't be time for it to suck?
Hey, that brings up an excellent Idea... Lets put O'sama in Space. Then there will be lotsa money for space exploration. It wouldn't be too hard, now that spaceship one is a go....
How about: MAREM - Massive Array of Really Expensive Machines

Man I need a business plan like this...
Not to mention with all of the outsourcing to these wonderfully stable countries, how much of our economy would be leveled overnight.

Yeah I geuss state sanctioned murder is not illegal... But then again, those nutty christians are mostly harmless.
Remember, fanaticism in any sense means the trampling of anothers rights
I see that you are attacking a lesser third world country. Would you like to
0 - Launch Missiles
0 - Fire Cannons
0 - Hide

Equating Michael Moore Films to documentaries is a lot like comparing The Daily Show with CNN (although both do fake news...)

So what is this guy's problem? Osama Background
