Hey! Do you have any more details for that tiled display wall and where to look for that sort of thing? I have a bunch of simple machines and associated monitors. I don't have hefty computing needs, but a tiled display wall would be just the thing... Got any pointers?
Another game to check out is EA: Black For the most part every thing you'd expect to be destructible with the weabons you have on hand... is destructible... I was kindof pissed when I found out it wasn't available for PC
Tools->Options -> Tabbed Browsing -> Display -> uncheck the "show close button on every tab" checkbox. Requires that you run the tab mix plus extension or other tab extension, however the changes may be persistent, so you can probably apply them and then disable the plugin.
Sorry I can't tell you the about:config key, couldn't find it either.
I jumped in and actually read this article because I couldn't bear not knowing if they had actually used duck tape to strap the jetpack to the astronaut. The sad fact is that they did not and NASA insists that it was in no danger of actually coming free... just a couple latches on the sides had come loose and the pack was both tethered to the astronaut and relatched while the astronauts were still in space actively pursuing their mission.
that would make the bigger players look like a dangerous pile of gold leading to noob rushes on higher level players... killing a few of them is no problem for the higher level, but it would get both tiring and pointless for the high level to keep killing them... the highlevel would slowly lose strength, interest, and with karma, would lose levels trying to defend himself from the n00bs... the only solution to that that I can see would be to allow the high levels to decline to fight... or track who started the fight, and not remove karma from the high players if they are the victim... however that doesn't resolve the boredom effect
Hey! just post the number here, so we can make that link in our database, and everyone will be happy.

Hey, my solution only required the assumption that they could register multiple keypresses... something that does happen in real keyboards.
It could be relatively intuitive, but it is a keypad with images, the images could tell the user what to do, which is not quite what the windows or ctrl keys do.
That said I am giving credit to users that may not be deserved. This is supposed to just be a springboard project... to actually get your hands an an OLED keypad so people will want to buy the full keyboard...
dude if they were geniuses, they would be able to give you 8 functions, well 7 unless you call "do nothing" a function. But more if you have toggles like play/pause
Press key 1 ------------- Play / Pause Press key 2 ------------- Volume Down Press key 1 and 2 ------- Previous Track Press key 3 ------------- Volume Up Press key 2 and 3 ------- Next Track Press key 1 and 2 and 3-- Mute/Unmute
Ain't binary fun? Of course this assumes they can register and program simultaneous keypresses.
shit man, very unethical, but very interesting... seriously though there is no proof that the brain is like ram, there are clearly connections that are created between your neurons as you learn things. If the brain were to be frozen intact with every single electrical connections forgotten, if you were thawed, and the initial electrical signals restarted, doesn't it stand to reason that you would wake up with your immediate short term memory forgotten, everything that has not made an indelible impression on your brain? You would also have all of the chemical reactions interrupted, but as long as your brain was frozen fast enough they would restart where they were... that's the bonus of chemical reactions. You would only lose any actions your brain was in the process of deciding to do...
Dude, I count in binary on my fingers all the time... Just imagine every finger is 1 bit, so on one hand you can count to 31, and with two hands you can count to 1023, assuming you're not using a finger to represent the sign.
All you do is start from the right hand thumb, flick it up => 1, flick it down and flick up your index => 2, flick up your thumb again => 3, flick both down and flick up your middle finger => 4,...

The answer is that they're programmers... and any true programmer knows that index numbers start at 0;
