Whatever the Democrats may be screaming, it's irrelevant to this. The Republicans control Congress. It's in their hands, and thus far every attempt they've made to support Trump has been thrown back in their face by his inability to keep his mouth shut. For chrissakes, the man is such an arrogant blowhard he was showing off to the fucking Russians in the Oval Office with a Russian journalist in the room. Whether he let slip any classified data or not, the fact is not only has he once again, within the space of a few days, made himself look like a big mouthed ass, he's now pissing off Israel, which means Israel and other allies, not to mention the State Department itself, are going to start holding crucial intelligence closer to their chests lest the Braggart-in-chief decide to show off to any other foreign powers.
Don't you see that it is Trump himself that is going to be forcing Republican lawmakers' hands? The opposing minority party always makes frequent demands for removals and impeachments and judicial proceedings. Christ, that's been the way Washington has worked since the day after George Washington walked off into the sunset. The difference here is that this is a man who seems bound and determined to make his supporters and allies look like idiots, and seems to want to hand his opponents, both Democrat AND Republican (because he has no lack of critics in the GOP) all the ammunition they could ever need.
At this point you even have some Democratic strategists hoping he doesn't get impeached and removed, because the longer he's in the White House, the worse the Republicans look.
Even up until this afternoon I was certain the Republicans would wait until the fall or early next year, due to wanting to take the pulse of the voters, and in particular the base and any tight House races (there are only a handful of tight Senate races, or so I understand). But I think matters are quickly accelerating beyond any ability of the Republicans to control. While Trump's popularity with the base still seems fairly strong, he's shedding support elsewhere, and I suspect, unless things can quiet down for a bit, the base will begin to erode as well, and at that point, then so will loyalty for Trump among lawmakers.
This was inevitable, if for no other reason than Trump just cannot keep his mouth shut. He's like Richard Nixon's idiot brother, all of the same paranoia and deceit, but with half the brains. How can his defenders keep up his defense, when they'll deny the report or rumor against him in the morning, and then he'll fucking confirm the truth of the report that night? At some point, and I expect that point is coming soon, he's just simply going to start shedding supporters, simply because they don't want to be tied to the anchor when it's finally pitched overboard.
I waffle between Trump either being one of the stupidest human beings to ever get elected to high office, or him really not wanting to be there but too arrogant to just walk away, and wanting to be pushed so he can claim he was the subject of persecution. Certainly that's the way it's going if today's Coast Guard commencement is any indication.
Nobody is going to be doing anything for months but watching the unfolding horror story in the White House. Now we've reached the "Special Counsel" stage with Robert Mueller taking over the DoJ investigation into Trump-Russia links. It's like Watergate-on-steroids, or more like Watergate-on-methamphetamine. If the record of impeachment is any indicator, Washington will literally grind to a halt for many months.
There are other kinds of energy storage systems than batteries, and the point of a large scale electric grid, like the ones in Europe and North America, is that you can have multiple energy production sources feeding into the grid. This isn't an either-or situation. Nuclear is part of the solution, but I do not see it ever being the most significant factor, and natural gas, like other fossil fuels, is a finite resource. In the long term, unless we discover cheap fusion processes, it is renewables.
He either got this from a pseudo-skeptic blog or just googled it. The deniers don't actually read the papers, they just look for certain key phrases and then declare "All the scientists are wrong!!!!"
Natural gas isn't clean, it's merely cleaner than coal. Nuclear is extraordinarily expensive and leaves behind some pretty nasty waste. Hydro works, but requires ready water supply and the right geography.
In the end, we're just going to have to develop better batteries or other energy storage techniques.
The impacts of climate change are going to be very severe on these two countries. Considering how far behind they're coming from, the fact that they aren't just sticking their heads in the sand and declaring "AGW is a lie!" says something, even if they have long ways to go.
The fact of the matter is that oil isn't going to die the death everyone thought it would even ten years ago, when it was assumed peak oil would hit at some point and oil would leap to several hundreds or even thousands of dollars of barrel. It's dying a death of oversupply, and with the likelihood that electric and other energy sources will overtake it over the next few decades (certainly not 10 years, that's way overoptimistic), it's just going to fade away.
Exactly. I think the first people to volunteer for the suicide booth should be the people who clearly misunderstood, probably willfully, what Darwin was trying to say.
I watch like four hours a week of TV, even less for the last few weeks as I've been studying my ass off for a final. But why should I be ashamed of liking dumbass TV shows? If the alternative is being a humorless alt-right troll who gets his jollies being a sociopathic prick on the Internet, then I'll take the idiot box.
If Netflix wants to stay in good with the content providers, it needs to make these shows of strength. This affects such a small group that it's worth a few grumpy rooted phone owners just to show Hollywood they mean business.
But I'm glad you get along fine. Some of us like to watch TV. I realize you are a superior human being in every possible way, but do take pity upon us lower life forms and our cheap entertainments. We have ascended the spheres as you have. Mind you, I bet you do miss the dildos.
Well good luck to them. I don't have any MS apps on my phone, don't intend to have any MS apps on my phone. I've surrendered my soul to Google! All praise the Almighty Alphabet!
Largely because of the pleasure I get from driving the delicate snowflakes in the Alt-right like yourself insane. You're all either undiagnosed Aspies or just simply pathetic little cowards, it's fun to watch you explode. All little Milos, except he gets laid more than you.
I certainly could use Bash in Windows, providing it had hooks into the Operating System so I can replace those horrific Powershell scripts. But I suspect this is very much a one-way street.
A VM running on the same architecture as the host (in other words, not an emulated CPU) has pretty damn close to native performance as well. What's your point?
Because if I'm doing testing, I actually want a real kernel there. This sounds like a bare-minimum set up for ELF binaries, and in no way is an actual full-pop Linux install.
I have a couple of images; Debian and FreeBSD, which I can bring up in Hyper-V or VirtualBox, and I can have a fully functional *nix system up and running in a few minutes. I have no need for something that runs "bash.exe"
It's what drove me away. I owned precisely one iPhone, and while there were aspects of the phone that I liked, after a couple of years of having to use iTunes I went out and bought a Nexus 5, and oh my goodness, I could just copy my MP3s over using a normal file browser, I could install VLC and play any damned video file I wanted, and while Android always feel a little rougher around the edges, it's not enough for me to ever go back to iDevices.

The Communist states just have a "C". Do you think that was superior? The most fundamental aspect of democracy is choice.

I think you need to see a shrink, and grow up while you're at it.

MST3K The Return for one...

Translation: Microsoft is the smallest kid of the Big Players, and no longer has the influence it once had.
Microsoft's dominance now rests on Office/Backoffice. It's desktop dominance is a battle won, to be sure, but one whose returns are faltering.
Well good luck to them. I don't have any MS apps on my phone, don't intend to have any MS apps on my phone. I've surrendered my soul to Google! All praise the Almighty Alphabet!

It took over a year for Nixon to fall.
Let the red herrings swim

So one of the most gawdawful bloated pieces of shit software is now available on probably the worst online store on the Internet.
What a coup.
Because by merging their cloud with Explorer, the intent is that you'll just accidentally copy all your files over on to their servers.
Because running a VM is just the hardest thing in the world
