Wouldn't it just be SO easy to ditch DOC and start using HTML? All you'd need to do is have major corporations remove other options from the menu, so HTML would be the only option. Welcome to the new format. It's really easy. It's 100% compatable with even the most basic text editors. Although, Office does seem to produce butchered HTML (but only with images). Until they resolve this issue, I can dream.

Hi. I'm in high school. 3 people in my English class just failed a writing assignment because they used "u" instead of "you," "i" instead of "I" and most importantly "cum" instead of "come."

I'm guessing that English is, in fact, being threatened. If they only used Gaim instead of AIM, they wouldn't have problems with language because it replaces "webspeak" with English.

  10. I have a solution: on EU Sleuths Think Microsoft Sabotaged Windows · · Score: 1

If you don't use Windows in the first place, it really doesn't matter if Windows is sabotaged. Get Linux, run a few things under WINE, and find functional OSS replacements for what you can't run under WINE. Really, it's that simple.

Of course, and remember that this is just my guess, it's possible that Word didn't play the media files properly.. *drum roll* because media player wasn't installed.

If you use Windows for any length of time, it becomes obvious that Microsoft (pointlessly) integrates everything with everything else. I see no purpose in embeding a movie into a word document, but for those that do see a reason to do so, I'd like them to know that Word is most likely depending on an instance of Media Player to play the video files. If you care that much, get on a torrent and download Windows XP CE.

Try playing and Half Life mod in "Software" mode and tell me the kind of performance you get. That's a lot better than you'd get from this concept card (which happens to be very backwards).

Please excuse me. I need to get back to Intel about my new idea for a "Open Pentium." It'll run at the speed of a 486, but at least everyone will know exactly how it works. Read-up on AIML and learn about Prolog. AIML is Artificial Intellegence Markup Language. It is a way of making static responses for a chatbot (like ALICE). Prolog is a language that is fed to a prolog interpreter. It does inference engine. Thus, if you define "2*2=4", then give it "4", you will recieve "2*2". Or, if you relate "heater=on" to "heat++", and "heater=off" to "heat--", and "hot=heat>10", and someone said it was "hot"... Prolog would infer that "heater=on"
