Considering the contracts in place between the ISP and the user, and the promises made in advertisement, is this legal? Couldn't a user simply demand that they remove this block?
In Europe this wouldn't work for more than a week or so.
Of course I agree, but looking at it from the dreaded Business Point of View(tm), a year extra in development is a lot of extra expenditures in salary and other costs, and it does not guarantee better sales. (In fact, a years delay might sour the deal for some people, not to mention the "buzz" might be gone by the time the game is actually released).
Why do you have to unlearn PL/SQL to learn budgetplanning? People learn things all their lives, not just while they are in school. Keep training yourself. If the company won't spring for courses, pick up a few books on select topics, and read once in a while. Not every day, not every week even, but read two-three books a year, and your brain stays alert.
I want a service that lets me se which sites other people recommend that I visit, based on the site that I'm currently on. Could be solved by a mix of RSS-feed and Firefox plugin?
Anything like this exists?
Oh, and it should be easy as hell to input a new site, or it will never be popular...
So if FireBird/Mozilla/TheBestDamnedBrowser is going to be the default Mozilla Browser (a Good Thing(tm)), is the Mozilla we all know and sorta like going to go away? In other words, will FB take over Mozilla-Vanilla's role in the Mozilla.exe/tar.gz that most people download? SeaMonkey or whatever it's codename is:)
The ruling came from the norwegian "Tingrett", which is one of the lower courts. Hence, an appeal will almost certainly be made before the two week deadline is up. It ain't over till the fat geek burps...
So? Even if you're not a sucker for sweet graphics, this doesn't hurt anyone. And chances are the developer learned a lot from this, and so will lots of other people who like this sort of thing. I for one am downloading it (as soon as the site becomes available again) and am looking forward to trying it out on my GF4. I really like Quake 1, and I can't wait to see the (even) better graphics.
In short: grow the hell up, stop nagging and fire up your NES machine/emulator for a nice game of Mario Bros instead.
Sounds like you should vote with your wallet, and buy a Wii :)
Or at least my Wi-Fi network is. They used my building about two minutes in :)
It will be. From the ashes, a phoenix always rises; though not always in the same form. //I think I'm gonna go write an epic poem now...

And the internets was all like "double-you tee eff, mate?"

Norman was founded in 1984, well before Peter Norton made an antivirus utility.
Thanks for playing, though!
Yes it is. However, there ARE no PlaysForSure content providers in Norway, so that poing is moo. Like a cows opinion.

How about using a rope tied to the suit? Seems like a low-tech solution, but might end up saving a life.
Damn it, I though those Austrians were neutral in the OS-wars!

And when was the last time you were hit with an EMP pulse? ;)
Ohhh! My! God! That's soooo cool!
As noted on http://www.csnation.net/, this is not confirmed by Valve or Vivendi.

Just when good ole' Sun was showing a sparc of life again, here comes naughty dirty Lintel and pulls the rug from underneath them...
