Prisons were under control before TV and Videogames came around don't see why they would need them now. You can "control" them by putting them to work.

Those bad descisions should not give you the right to sit around playing video games and freeloading off society. They should be made to work and work hard to rehabilitate themselves. Not play video games. They shouldn't be allowed to watch TV in my opinion.

The jails worked before TV and video games and it can work now without it.

OK great since you are asking the linux community to match this one donation...can you also figure out how the linux community can match all his other donations to schools and other charities.

For example Bill gave $5 million to the Rochester, NY city schools this past year. How much would each Linux community member need to pitch in to match that? While your figuring that out I'll figure out the rest of the donations for 2004.

The point is you can't compete. Just give what you can and be happy that someone is trying to give back to the community.

So what are you saying that he should of just kept his money and not done anything? At least he does something! You don't hear of to many millionaires parting ways with their money very often.

It was in our local news recently that Bill Gates and foundation gave $5 million to our city schools. Why did he do that for us? Because he wants to help but not feel like he owns the process.

It's just like tsunami relief you hear actors and companies giving $1 million of thier own money. Who cares that $1 million ain't going to do crap for the victims...but enough people together that donate what they can when they can is going to make a difference.

You got to ask yourself what if the story read Steve Jobs donated $750 would you be reading in the comments that it was a conspiracy or that $750 million ain't going to do shit? NO! Because the editors of Slashdot posted this story for the lone reason as to fuel the immature fire of microsoft bashing. All this is because Bush is trying to get on the nicey nice with voters...well this voter sees right past his stupidity. What he should be focusing on is why companies are allowed to offshore american jobs to India. New Jersey outsources a government service to help find jobs to out of work people oversees, god the irony in that is enough to choke a hourse. But Bush sees nothing wrong with that, he even gives tax incentives to these companies.

3 million jobs have been lost under Bush's rule of tyranny. 3 million jobs! The worst since Herbert Hoover and the great depression. He wants us all to have broadband because we will need something when we all have lost our jobs.

What about gas prices this past week there were three record setting days for the highest average gas prices. What happened to Bush's campaign promise that they could control the price of oil because he and Chenney had experience in the industry. What a crock!

So keep making bold and stupid visions like going to the Moon and then Mars. Keep worring about the people in Iraq and Afghanastan and forgetting about us we don't mind really. We don't have domestic problems of our own to worry about or nothing.
