  1. Just use your hardware firewall to blot it from connecting to the net. It's pretty easy - plus I imagine security won't be 100% on those Lucky Gold Star devices so there's likely an open ssh or like port on the things. Hack away.

    And recall didn't their God wipe out civilization with a flood because allegedly mankind was so evil that God had to do so? But then had to send himself as human to pay for those 'sins'. It's all holy horse shit and nothing more.

    For example, we use Towerstream. They're pretty good - 250Mbps symmetrical for a small office isn't bad.

    It was about 1982 or 1983 - a good friend convinced me to get a modem. There was one BBS in the area at the time called NYBBLINK. Well a month or two after I got the modem NYBBLINK was disconnected.

    So I cajoled my friend into writing a BBS platform on the TRS-80 Model III - thus was born Syslink. Syslink in turn spawned PowerNet and PowerCore which morphed into Intelecom Data Systems (IDS) owned by another friend.

    You could be in one place I worked. They decided to install an IronPort proxy. We all had Linux boxes in addition to our Windows machines. So we just installed Corkscrew to a remote host under out control. They'd get the DNS dips, but not the page traffic.

    We're all MacBook Pro's and Dell Latitude E7470's - neither of which come with an optical drive. I guess they do have USB ports so a 64GB stick would work. And we did order an external CD/DVD-RW unit. We do have servers with optical drives in them.

    And they also made it so you cannot get rid of Cortana. I did one better though. I reasoned that Cortana was using the Bing search engine. So I did and nslookup on bing.com - grabbed the IP address and blocked it on my hardware firewall. Here's just a snippet from my logs since the update.   21. Charged my Fire Tablet on my Windows 10 laptop since the update. Have to try it tonight and see if it replicates on the Fire Tablet too.

  22. Microsoft can keep their money. As a general rule I block Bing at the firewall level.

  23. Yeah - so the $12K Honda Civic at 40mpg with a 9 to 10 gallon gas tanks has a 360 to 400 mile range. Best electrics out there only get to about 200-250 miles on a charge. That would work for me for daily commute, but for longer trips a very fast charging method needs to be developed to say top a car to 85% charge in 10 minutes or less.

    Well - I also use flashblock and script block so the chances I'll see anything Is fairly null.

    Yup I was thinking the same thing. I'll just scrape the site to see what they point to for ad content and block that site on my firewall.
