In Japan, there are only a few backbone providers. All the small providers basically resell NTT's FLETS system so all you need to do is get NTT to block it and you've basically blocked access for 80% of the country. After that, hit up au's (KDDI) fiber and you've got the other 20%.
If one of the attractions is "The world's largest ball of twine", does that mean that there is only one available for download? What if 2 neighboring cities have the same attraction? Does it keep getting bigger and bigger and the first one to reach the per-item triangle count win?
Will you idiots stop with this "topic-gate" crap already? A feminist didn't like the jokes that a couple of guys were making. They got fired. Then she got fired for rocking the boar. Case closed.
Sadly, the meaning of the internet "troll" has been lost. It's ties to fishing have been misunderstood as the things that hang out under bridges. Trolling has nothing to do with "trolls".
Normally I wouldn't comment on this stuff but a 4.5 second yellow? Are there no crosswalks at these lights? Am I the only person who hovers over the brake pedal once the crosswalks start blinking? When the crosswalk lights start blinking, you know the light is going to change within 10 seconds or so.
Besides, 4.5 seconds, if you are traveling at normal speeds should be plenty of time to cover the break and start slowing down.
The fidelity is already there. Flight time in the sim is nearly as good as the real thing, especially considering when you are up on a motion platform.
The sims are great for procedure training since you can simulate failures which would be expensive or impossible to simulate in a real aircraft. More sim time = less cash spent on keeping the real aircraft in the air but with the same amount (or more) experience for the pilot being retained.
No, it sounds like they reinvented the Panda compass connector backplane. I used to have a Panda Archistrat 4s that you could slide in a PPro, or DEC Alpha, with plans to add SPARC support as well.
The problem is that everyone who has been sued or has had to litigate against this patent or has gone out of business because of legal action due to this patent has been screwed. They should get full compensation from Apple for lost profits, legal fees, and any winnings awarded to Apple because of the patents. All licensing fees should be refunded in full. It's only fair that hardships caused by a patent that has been invalidated should be compensated for.
So true. Only reason they were ever able to gain any kind of market share here is because they had the iphone. Now that it's available with any carrier, people are leaving them in droves for either au or docomo.
How about, in 15 years, you'll have the same dead end job where your managers are getting paid more than you are and you have nothing to show in your life except for some bytes on some company's hard drive and you still get up and perform the same routine you always have?
We're really at the top of the curve for technological advancement without some kind of major energy breakthrough. If you want to practice your writing skills, do it somewhere else.
Sorry, but you are weak. I have quit many times in my life. Cold turkey each time. For years at a time. If you lack the willpower to just stop, then you have other issues. I smoke because it gives me something to do when I am bored. I don't smoke at home, or on the weekends, or at anywhere else but when I am at work, since that's where others smoke. If nobody else is there, I don't smoke. It's simple. It's like drinking. I don't crack a beer if I'm by myself. However, social drinking is ok. Not so bad when you look at it like that eh?
Been smoking for over 20 years, but still only at a pack every few days.
Have you ever seen the reams and reams of paper in 3 ring binders that comprise the low and high route maps that a pilot must have on hand, as well as the approach plates needed to do a proper landing?
No reason this should be restricted to apple products as an android tablet would work just as well to view pdf files, but still, very reasonable savings estimate.

I'll give you 3 to 1 odds that 6 out of 10 people probably don't care about statistics ;)
So it does. Didn't see it cause it was formatted at the end of the sentence instead of where it normally goes. I stand corrected.
Pretty lame. My submission nearly word for word: http://slashdot.org/submission/2577041/judge-rules-that-resale-of-mp3s-violates-copyright-law

But I have a 100" touch display in my office. I built it almost 3 years ago.

Well, it's a little known fact that, ah, when you pop your knuckles, you're actually making a tiny little finger sized sonic boom...
What an ugly monstrosity. Well, we know Steve was a minimalist. Look at the pictures of the bridge. No buttons!

This whole article is tl;dr. Read an Asimov book.

Bad form to reply to yourself I know, but what about keeping approach plates and such on a kindle? No real battery issues that way.

Just you watch.. Someone will claim that apple invented the 7" tablet form factor...
