Looks like they've finally managed to come up with a way to mutate Tetris that actually retains the charm of the original, a task most commercial mutations failed at IMHO. (HatTris, anyone?)
Hey, there's a post on Slashdot with a really wacky idea! Johnson, get R&D on the line. I want a full report on the practicality and chargeability of such a service on my desk by the end of the day!
To take your example a step further, in the late 80s/early 90s, the online servie CompuServe had a text chat equivalent to AOL's burgeoning "chat rooms." CompuServe's one was actually called the "C.B. Simulator."
..they're doing something that won't affect anyone other than the technologically inept pirates, who are already their easiest targets for prosecution. The resulting rise in lawsuit numbers and word of this scary techno-voodoo might put more newbies off using the fileshares, or it might get them to learn to use whatever unwatermarking tools pop up.
noone is going to upgrade their OS just to buy a praticular game
Many people have spent twice the price of Windows on a new console due to one or two games on it they like. If Vista gets exclusivity on Halo and one or two other big titles, they've pretty much forced upgrades out of a big chunk of the PC gaming community.
Exactly! If, like me, you're a gamer who isn't at all into MMOs, and do most of your gaming solo or with players in the same room, there's precious little out there that isn't a cheap glossy rehash of a game we've been playing since the SNES or PS1 days. I've bought all of one game in the past year that I still play at all, and that's sad.
The printout option is not without its charm, but I personally would be really peeved if someone attempted to communicate with me in text by emailing a PDF file, no mater how cute it was.
Everyone knows the newspaper industry is struggling to compete with the Internet, but they're really reaching nowadays, emulating the net's security breaches as well..
Had they released Advent Children over here, subbed or dubbed, I personally would have made their numbers at least $30 less disappointing. Oh well, I'll just have to go on digging the fansub...
Shooting you in the head is illegal no matter what, but hacking away at a computer is only illegal if you don't have permission to do so. Otherwise, everyone who ever mplemented and tested their own security, everyone who took potshots at their own firewall, and every professional computer security tech who ever did his or her job at all, would be a criminal.
Tetrisphere's an exception, one of the three or so N64 games I still play.
When asked to confirm the above findings by Dr. Haddaway, a pair of scientists dressed in bright purple and blue labcoats nodded furiously, in rhythm.

Yahoo are releasing this stuff under the BSD License.
Somewhere, in a telecom corporate boardroom...

I thought we were moving away from this sort of interview.
I'd pay very well for a FPS in which I could shoot Dr Phil.

Alert President Morgan Freeman!
OTOH, AFAIK, market for cellphone games flourish.
With the majority of those cellphone games being ports or rehashes of aging "classics." Where's the innovation?

Please make a fun game.
A few rounds of Quake could have added a new dimension to Bobby Riggs vs. Billie Jean King.
of the Steve Ballmer school of management.
Those heavy space shuttle chairs must be a bitch to throw.

Will PC gamers get one of those neat bloody chainsaw controllers to play with?

I LJ is giving you permission to throw what you can at them, doing so can hardly be seen as wrong in the eyes of your ISP or the law.
Also a free and legal guide to stopping things set up in this way from working.
I'd love the ability to complain about each story being duped 300 times.
they meant the brush tool.
...I'll get me coat.
