Probably all the people saying "Why would you want to run an inferior operating system?" and "Running XP on a Mac is like throwing out the baby and keeping the bathwater." and things like that.
Well, it goes through them. I been linked to a slashdot comment from a google search, and I've also had someone find one of my posts from a google search. Maybe it wouldn't count as anything special, but I'd imagine it would still count like any other site that links to someplace.
You're right, Switchboard returns only 18 results, most living in Michigan. Although, I don't know how accurate a measure that is. I'm quite sure that's imply listed telephone numbers in the US. My last name gives 45 results. Although, it appears my Grandfather, whose been dead for decades, is on there.
You sure? I'm pretty sure firefox doesn't natively support viewing the headers. And I assume by Ctrl+I you mean Page Info, as it brings up bookmarks for some reason on Windows (probably because that's what IE does). That dialog only shows "Content-Type" under meta.
Now, that would work if you installed this extension.
A video with annoying music doesn't give me much confidence that this is real. However, I've thought from the beginning that the DVD firmware was the 360's greatest weakness, although I didn't know if it had to be signed or something.
I find the lack of Winamp data a little weird too. Anyone know how many users it has? I'm guessing more than iTunes, at least. Also, does anyone know if you can turn off that AJAX stuff in the media library in the latest version? I'm sticking with 5.13 for now, because I'm content with a good old list.
That player does nothing. (Launches, but gives no visual indication of being launched). Also, can it integrate into Firefox? I really hate Quicktime in Firefox. First, you can't go full screen in videos. And when I went to watch the X3 trailer on Apple's site, they have some "click here to play" thing so I can't download the.mov file and play in fullscreen in Windows Media Player/Media Player Classic/whatever. Pro won't let you go fullscreen from a browser either, will it? What does Apple have against playing videos fullscreen? It's in iTunes, put it into your main player like everyone else.
Also, it seems Quicktime has problems with some VBR MP3s. IE, it stopes playing them 7 seconds in, while other media player play the whole thing.
Stepmania will work on a modded xbox as well. My problem is the pad. I got a cheap softpad from Best Buy, but it slips around on the floor too much.
I like the "simfiles" people make; there's songs I actually know. I have "Let's Get Retarded", some System of a Down, Mr. Roboto, etc. Most of the stuff people make is too difficult for me though, unfortunentally.
You know, several games have Handicap settings. For example, the Super Smash Bros games. Give her the advantage with handicap settings, and maybe put a skilled AI player on her team. Plus, there's the puzzle games that let you set your level. Tetris, Tetris Attack, Dr. Mario, pretty much all of them.
You mean when you open it up in WMP, you can't acquire a license? You could probably get around the location lock by using a US proxy for WMP.

I think the videos might all be DRM'd. Although, I'm not sure, since I didn't get a popup asking me if it was OK to acquire a license.
The 1.5 mbps downloads are certainly DRM'd though. All the ones I'm downloading appear to expire June 1.
The only commercial-free channels on cable that I know of are the premium movie channels. Pretty much everything else has ads. Even "non-profit" stuff like PBS has ads, just less of them, and they don't interrupt the show.
The IN2TV wikipedia article mentions those those, but I don't see them mentioned anywhere on the actual site. Anyone know if they're going to add these? I believe Pinky & the Brain, a show they already have, was part of Animaniacs.
That still doesn't explain them going crazy for a smaller version of an already small portable. Nintendo released 5 versions of the GBA (GBA, GBA Player, SP, SP2, and Micro), because apparently some people just keep buying pretty much the same thing over. I wonder how many versions of the DS there will be?
I'd imagine the tower would reject the "emergency call" if it weren't actually to 911.
But you want to avoid the situation where a lot of people see it and no one calls in. So do you keep trying to call, or forget it?
What happens when you type c:\ or something in IE? Same thing? Or can you have it in another tab?
Probably all the people saying "Why would you want to run an inferior operating system?" and "Running XP on a Mac is like throwing out the baby and keeping the bathwater." and things like that.
Ah, but they aren't on the first page when you search for whiny babies. Or crying babies. Both search terms they might actually want.

Wait, you're buying your "customers" iPods? What are you selling?
Wait, AAC supports bookmarking, or iPod/iTunes? And can't you do that with MP3 on iTunes as well?

I have found VLC usually uses more resources than DirectShow on Windows. At least, it seems this way when I'm trying to watch an HD .ts/.mpg file.

They should put Reversi back in. Also, how well does .NET work with DirectX/Direct3D?

A quick search finds a remote desktop client for Mac. Or do you mean a server or something?

What's all that read DCHS stuff? That happens normally when you install XP? Sorry, I haven't in a while, and I don't remember that.
Usually $35 in the US.
