Although slow, personal use of diesel is gaining ground. Honda has the Diesel CR-V coming to the states in the next model year or 2.
Also, the more people talk about it, the more interest it will gather. Maybe not all people with diesels will convert, but it is more people aware of it. I have a close friend that I have helped him convert 2 diesels to run off of WVO. We live in the Chicagoland area. First was a 1985 K5 Blazer, the second is and he is currently driving, 2005 Chevy Silverado HD Duramax 2500 diesel. Has a secondary 45 gallon tank with coolant lines that run to it to keep the grease / WVO liquified. We have talked to local restaurants and they are fine with us taking the WVO.
The point is, the more people that talk about it, the more of a chance it will catch on. I would gladly pay someone to filter and store WVO in the winter time than fetching myself, so I would be willing to pay $.50 a gallon for WVO instead of the always higher than gasoline $2.89 diesel.
I think you are the only one. I don't think anyone has thought about Circuit City Divx in years. At the time, I just remember DivX avi or DivX;)
Circuit City Divx has been well forgotten.
What isn't forgotten is the first DVD movie I encoded to Divx avi took 10 hours on a PIII - it was Black Mask (Jet Li) and I still have it in a spindle somewhere...
gotta love the history of codec technology
How is the Revolution the best or worst of 2005? It's not even due out until 2006, so how would it fair to be part of 2005's list? We have nothing but concept to go on. We'll see if it is on next year's Best of/Worst of 2006.
What about books, crayons and paper, things to be constructive with kids? With all this crap in the news about ratings, why not go the old fashion route?
It happenes with every console, and Nintendo was the big one who mastered it. There will be enough, we always fall for it, and the proof is everyday on Slashdot. Everyday we hear about the shortages, and never from an official source.
Perfect example was the Nintendo DS last year. I got my hands on a DS early, thinking there would be a shortage. Almost everywhere I went, there they were. All JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. Parents are probably shaking in their boots for their kids.
I play several games with him. SSBM is one, we both just mash buttons and find combos. MarioKart:DD is a great one to play with him! We also play PowerRangers, F-Zero (which is fast, and I am amazed on how fast he grasps that speed and control), X-Men wolverine, and we recenlty have played Paper Mario, although that's A LOT of reading, even for me! He doesn't know how to read yet, but Paper Mario will be an excellent game for enhancing reading skills. He is also good at Mario Party; we have 4/5/6, and he likes Sonic and has gotten better and further in the game as time rolls by. I think some of the passive learning is actually doing something with your kids, making things exciting, because outside of the video games, a book is read to him EVERY NIGHT. I will have to get him involved with Zelda... =)
I play GameCube side by side with my four year old. It is amazing the things he remembers and associates with. The way he can control characters is awesome. It builds map skills, memory skills, and hand eye coordination.
You can use REAL money to purchase Virtual "Official" items (wheels, clothes, etc to deck out your online player), but can you sell yuor virtual items to other players for REAL money ala MMORPG? Seems like that is a hazy line depending on game creators, and obviously a big deal for "farmers". Will Microsoft allow me to sell my 24" rims online to someone for real cash, or will Microsoft somehow tax that?
His step-mother works 3rd shift. She'll be home when he gets home. She'll make the cookies, she'll be there until I get home. BUT, by the time he is 14, I hope with all my might that I will have taught him well. It's about the eary years as much as the later years. It's still about being a parent, even when not there. To me, today's kids don't have ANY parenting. Today's kids have the games as baby sitters. My son will have things like sports and outdoor activities as well as techy stuff like games and computers. It starts with ME and ends with AIDAN (my son)
I play games with my 4 year old; I am by his side. It's all about involvement in what's happening in the games (and movies, and music, and LIFE). Right now, it's limited to Mario, SpongeBob and PowerRangers. When time comes it will be up to ME on how we, or just him, plays games. I do not want the government raising my boy, let me be a man and do it.
Fanboy here, but I believe XboX will capture the audience, good more by them. I will buy a Revolution, but there are so many shady rumors, how about we wait til it's a more solid date? Like, right from Nintendo, not, my brother's inlaws uncle's dogsitter's dad's WoW online buddy knows the garbage man for Nintendo told me he found the date in a scrap of paper.
Sounds like hassle for people trying to get away from it all. Why not just a wired router/firewall. Does it have to be wireless? I would assume the vacation home isn't that big to warrent wireless... just my 2 cents.
DishNetwork's Pocket Dish is a rebadged Arcos device. The big phatty version records analog (lets say at a friends house or somewhere with RCA out) to MPEG4. You can extract DVR shows to your PC for storage, although they say it can't be played on a PC (I am sure this has been hacked already). You can also put compliant video files to the PocketDish, too.
I do a decent amount of traveling with my little guy. I would use this for cartoons (because DVDs get stale watching the same thing). Great for hotel rooms and visiting relatives.
Has anyone seen the RSS "Web Clips" in your Gmail? I have 4 addresses, and only one has it. Upwards of 10 others with gmail don't have it. It is in the settings area on what feeds you want, and shows a non-intrusive scrolling line above the topmost email. Is this the same?

Also, think of the commercial industry...

Hillary Rahdam Clinton's ass...
You can't boot to PCI. This device is using the PCI slot to keep power to it to keep it performing like a HDD. It is SATA to become a "HDD"

Why not just get a PS2... aren't all games ported to the PSP the exact same games anyways?
I have had it for about 6 months. No one else I knew that had Gmail had the webclips...

I betcha the other thing they are hiding is it will be a universal remote control, too!

...a day late, and an iPod short.

I think that one mom went to jail for stealing money from people thinking they were donating... oh, wait, that was a Playstation mom.
Do they have the game Calgon (take me away)?

Can you mod this (Score -1, Retarted)? I am now dumber for reading that 5 times trying to understand.
the RIAA tried asking the Judge to amend the judgment in order to allow them to sue the child
Were they going to sue for lunch money??
