Interesting. I've had the same types of power management issues from an ASUS motherboard. It works perfectly in Linux though. The KT4xx chipsets from a few years back were more troublesome (thanks, DFI!)
Bad chips happen, bad batches happen. Large batches of bad chips happen (just ask NVIDIA!)
If you're careful, you can run XP on a 500mhz system comfortably. XP scales up and down fairly well for a MS operating system. XP SP3 is pretty fast on a E6600 dual-core PC. Vista was *not* fast on the same PC
Windows 2000 will run on a P133. What will Vista run on, with Aero disabled?
Luckily the ACCC aren't that stupid, and if eBay try another stunt like that in Australia, they'll have even bigger problems. Pity eBay could probably drop the Australian market without an issue...
Bah, I would feel sorry for (hah!) the BSA, if they actually sent valid threats^H^H^H^Hnotices. I got one for something I hadn't downloaded.
Rang the ISP, they said 3 had come through that hour, all invalid.
But any time a feature request is made on ubuntuforums.org or linuxquestions, they can be referred to Brainstorm (once they rebuild the poor tortured servers).
Say I pay for a membership to a website specifically to remove ads, and then this ISP goes and inserts more ads, rendering my membership useless, what then?
Finally, a sane comment. It's time for OpenID 3, with input from Google.
And then the same "Computer" courses branch off into "Business" and "Systems Analysis", with the same level of competence...
It's probably about time to fork PHP.
And sometimes, the institution doesn't even realise that they're woeful.
+1 for BinRev (www.binrev.com/radio)
Although that's not TV, the archives are worth skimming. Same goes for Radio Phreak America.

Windows won't wake, because the buggy chipset drivers mean it's now frozen in standby.
Unfortunately they don't seem to be bleeding money. They deserve to be.
Managing Energy Resources Dynamically on Earth (MERDE).
Oui oui!

That's if Google don't kill Flickr in favour of their own Picasa web service.
That baen site is blocked at my workplace. Is it SFW?
I'll bite.
The reason this search happened and yours doesn't is that Steve Fossett makes a better news story.
Gah, just bought a low end WD external. I'll look out for it next time. Would be great to have a row of them as eSATA in a NAS box.
There's a script around to allow you to light up the red TOSLink LED on the Macbooks as a hdd/net monitor. Unfortunately I don't have a link for you.
But they're having a whale of a time!

(Couldn't find the right thread to reply to) I reckon majority market share in the video disc market is worth more than $400m anyways
Someone should volunteer to try to get an auction deleted by the CoS and see if you get the pedo-pamphlets in your street.

Tell them a multi millionaire (billionaire) is financing it. Whatever you think about Ubuntu, Shuttleworth has got to be a good thing.

There's an idea! Host the entirety of Wikileaks in the Slashdot comments!
