    There are a couple different types of tent in use over in the sandbox - the majority are canvas shells with some sort of tyvek-like inner shell...and ductwork for A/C. Some of these have been foam covered. There are also shelters which are more heavily insulated sans foam. A lot of the troops are living in containers or wooden structures, some in local buildings. The Hajjis typically sleep on the roofs, since it is the coolest place at night.

    Most of the network gear isn't MILSPEC, it's commercial off the shelf. Usually it isn't the network gear that gets overly flaky when hot...it's the rest of the computing infrastructure.

    Obama's simply too conservative to sign a bill like this. He should, but he won't. The fact that marijuana is 100% safe isn't enough to sway the screaming, mindless Christians, and Obama needs at least some of their votes.
    Why not? Osbama probably smokes doobies and blunts in the WH. He admits to having done so in the past. Oh, and no need to attack any particular religious group - it's over the top and unacceptable. There are plenty of agnostics who feel that maryjane has no place in legal society.

    maybe the USB spec can't handle the amount of juice necessary to power the whole computer. Bingo. No way you can pull that much power, at least with existing USB architectures. Perhaps a small netbook or maybe a tablet, but nothing mainstream.

    TAGES...a total suckfest. Started getting weird unsigned driver errors in Win 7...after some digging discovered it was TAGES. WTF...mass market and can't even comply with OS vendor requirements? And while undocumented, the assholes at TAGES had a Win64 patch. Now, if only they'd fix the crash problems in Witcher2.
