Unless you're in Canada. No Amazon Prime video app is available for Canadians, hasn't been despite the service being released a year ago. It's as if Amazon doesn't want me to watch their video stream?

Did you know Amazon refuses to release a Roku app for their Prime Video service in Canada? For over a year since they "rolled out" Amazon Prime video to Canadians? The US folk have an App, but not Canadians (and maybe many other regions? Dunno).
Except if you are in Canada. We just got Prime Video a year ago. Amazon WILL NOT release a Roku app in Canada (it's not Roku, it's Amazon that provides the app). So, no Chromecast support, no Roku support. It seems Amazon doesn't want me to watch their service. Fine.
Maybe a new second master override code can be provided to the flight attendants during an incident (via air-phone with ground control) that completely override the pilots lock would cover this issue. There would have to be a risk-assessment on the ground in order to provide this code. Although I'm not sure if there is enough time to do this (8 minutes?).
Then you have something wrong with your 2012 Nexus 7. Mine (WiFi model) takes I'd guess less than 4 hours to change, and can last days and days. More than a week sitting idle.
Make sure you're using the included high capacity charger, otherwise it will take a day to change.
No no no. The two projects are COMPLETELY different. Please don't compare the two together. The real magick is USRP. Satellite receiving and decoding the digital into MPEG while descrambling is nothing new.
USRP (soft radio) is a totally different concept in tuning and demodulation.
Ummm.. Maybe you should start doing some reading and get your story stright. I hope the company you work for isn't going by your knowledge. You're gonig to get a big surprise in mid 2006!!!!
> Here is the kicker, they allow you to do thi > yourself but you have to go ONLINE to their > website to do it?!?!? How the hell can you enter > in your new mac address when you have no internet?
Easy. You don't need the internet to update your MAC address.
When youre MAC address isn't registered, you get a an internal functional 10.0.0.0 IP address.
You can however only access certain TELUS websites. One of those web sites is the MAC address registration site.
When you've registered, you just have to do a DHCP renew and you'll get a correct IP address.
I would buy white flour from a cocaine dealer for my choclate cake if the price was cheaper from him than buying white flour in a grocery store... The fact his white flour has some other sideffects is not my problem (that's not what I bought it for in the first place)
Most ISO programmers for reading smartcards cost several hundered dollars. The ISO readers these sits were offering are FAR FAR cheaper, but have the same capabilites and provide the same functionality.
Actually, there is NO difference what so ever between the two.
Reader=Programmer Programmer=Reader
A smartcard reader/programmer is nothing more than a voltage converter attached to a serial port.
The act of sending a command to the ISO card to get a response is the same as programming it. You either ask for a value in return, or you store a value in a specific location. The protocol method is the same in both cases. There is no "high voltage" eeprom line to enable programming it (in this case at least)
The big difference is a DUMB ISO programmer (where the data lines are controlled by the PC) and a smart programmer where they have protocols embedded in the hardware ISO programmer to conform to ISO protocol standards. That's a different case all together...
Nortel (My employer) is doine MUCH better than what the media would let you beleive. There's a lot of BIG entities in the US that would like to see Nortel fail (need I mention any names??) Don't beleive everything you read/see.
Also, nowhere has Nortel issued any statement regarding this patent. Nortel hasn't said a word, so don't be putting up the defector shields too fast there....
It's quite easy, just don't play HIS game at marketing. I for one will not buy the VHS and purhaps wait for it on DVD. However, after all is said and done, I may not buy the DVD after all. I am quite disapointed with the marketing BS behind this VHS/DVD situation.
Just say NO to VHS.
Unfortunatly, the masses will probably fall for this trick and buy the VHS and DVD in the end.
Amazon doesn't NOT ALLOW their content on any Roku device outside of the USA.
Amazon is a problem.
Unless you're in Canada. No Amazon Prime video app is available for Canadians, hasn't been despite the service being released a year ago. It's as if Amazon doesn't want me to watch their video stream?
'Cept they didn't do that with Roku in Canada, nor Chromecast.
Yup. Amazon prime in Canada is lack-luster. Time to re-think my subscription. It's as it they don't want me to watch their video service.

Who's the dickweed again?

I'm not buying a FireTV device.
Not sure I can support Amazon Prime anymore.
This would make a good Silicon Valley episode about COPPA.
Oh, wait... Never mind...

Are we talking about DST or TZ ? Both very different effects on people.
EDIT: Meant to say: "There *isn't* any legal ... "
There isn't any legal reason that prevents you from opening it up. Just do it.
Apple is exerting a concept that doesn't legally exist.

Criminal charges pending in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ....
Unions are a viral problem. Way too much control over politics.
Remove "union" backing from this and I'll start listening, until then, their on my "ignore list".

RoHS is not limited to PCB's.
Perhaps you should do some reading before spouting off.

Nope, that's not right.

There is nothing new here. This is an old "stronger signal override" trick.
These arn't the hackers you'r looking for. You can go about your business. Move along....
