I'v ebeen using this since last year, and if by slashdot posting this as news this stops the progress of this plugin, I'll be bullshit. I love my iPod, but I despise iTunes, this plugin made my life so much easier, because WinAMP PWNS!
the only thing that I'd like to see id Tiger T-off whacking a G5 300+ yds up the fairway. followed by a few iPods, a couple of Mac Minis, and definately some of the old iMacs...
Then I'd like to see the Penguin come out, shake his hand and watch them frolic into the sunset, heading off to burn Bill Gates' house down...
IE7 has been said that it won't have tabbed browsing. you all know how "secure" IE is, and IE's got it's own "standards of conformance"
Having a browser that's DIRECTLY integrated with the OS is a terrible thing.
I'd rather juggle chainsaws then go back to IE from firefox
now I know where my hard earned tax payers dollars went... and now I know why the damned thing leaks... too much time spent on BS to actually get somethign accomplished... everytime I drive through that tunnel on 93S, I can only think of the movie daylight...
I read somewhere that almost 70% of the employees at the Redmond WA office of M$ own iPods... chalk one up for Mac making a decent portable device.../me goes back to listening to his iPod
I agree, OO.o was the best thing I ever migrated to. Everyong I know was acting like "you can't do that, you'll come crawling back to M$FT" I switched about 8 months ago, and have since converted my office, my friend who runs a computer shop (he now fully endorses OSS, and OO.o, Firefox, and Thunderbird come with all of his new computers, unless a customer wants to have M$Orafice and pay the $200+). The town of North Hampton NH is looking into the migration as well, same with the town of Methuen MA. sure, both these cities combined aren't even the size of a city block in LA, but still, it begins to prove the point that F/OSS does prove to be a powerful competitor to M$...
Like we don't have enough power consumption problems already... For a decent gaming system we need a 450watt+ power supply, now with nVidia's requirements of a couple free power dongles and the massive storage capacity of the new hard drives, we need more power then ever... it won't be long until 1000 watt power supplies are standard in your e-machines POS paperweight boxes... I don't get it, what's the point in wasting precious power to have your RAM say somethign like "I R teh 1337 h4xx0r"
But maybe that's just me...
how "secure" will it be once it's available to the general public?
looks and feels like a love child of IE7 and FF1.5. not bad for a beta... I'll use it more at work and see how it handles what I do
it's dan quayle... obviously if he coined the term "internet" then he owns it...
it appears to me more of an air conditioner unit that replases the stock cooling, almost like a forced cold air system. could be interesting...

but why can't we have something like this here in the United States? Oh, wait, that's right, Bush is in office...

hmmm... Maybe it would have been better if it were closer, it would have stopped microsoft...

Actually, my friend modded his case to mount his LCD on the side, I can get pics of it, it's really funny looking
my guess is the X-11 Cam!... now we'll need hardware popup blockers too... WTF!

I'm not sure what the #1 will be, althought according to CNN's website, if we all watch on Jan 18th like listed in the /. article, we'll be 2 days late
"TOP INNOVATIONS The number one innovation will be announced on Sunday, January 16, at 8 p.m. ET."
I'm thinking that the top invention will be somethign like Compact Disks or DVD's.
