  4. Re:False on A Closer Look At Immersion Cooling For the Data Center · · Score: 0

Yes you are correct that heat (H) that is being produced by the server is going to be the same no matter what cooling method is being implemented.

The traditional cooling medium, air, can not hold as much energy (H) as the cooling fluid used by Green Revolution cooling. To give air better energy absorbing abilities you must first remove energy from it. This in itself requires mass amounts of electricity via a AC system. With oil cooling this ac system is skipped and replaced with a heat exchanger where then the heat is dissipated with a cooling tower.

If you are inclined to call them engineers, then you are calling them scientists. Engineers practice an applied science. By making blueprints, running computer simulations, building small scale prototypes, and building large scale tests; they are running experiments

  10. Anonymous on The Vatican Lauds Hackers · · Score: 0

I really believe that the work of Anonymous and Wiki leaks has given hackers a bad name. The general public and the media are really foucsing on the negative things that some of us are doing. Most of us use our abilities to make things work better for us. I am glad that the Vatican sees that we all are not pirates.

You have to remember that everyone's brain is different. We are not going to react the same way to the brutal attack on our senses. I would make the assumption that the nausea is similar to getting car sick. Kinda like staring at you side view mirror while driving; your eyes say that you are going backwards but you ears tell you that you are going forward. But that aside, my first sign that im getting nauseous is that i get a headache. Like my brain is trying too hard to figure out what is going on. There are many things that can have an effect causing headaches and nausea. All of the conflicting senses are going to have some effect but not the same effects on everyone.

  12. I need some numbers. on Steve Jobs Questioned In iTunes Monopoly Suit · · Score: 0

I really can't make a decision on this with out some quantifiable data. We all know that their are other sources to buy digital music. But how much of the digital music market belongs to iTunes? Not only that how do the sales of digital albums and the sale of CDs.

I did find some data saying that iTunes had 80% of the digital market, but it wasn't from a creditable source nor was it dated. For all that I know it could be from 2002 when it was really the only option.

  16. Title Missleading on Paramount Pictures To Release Film On Bittorrent · · Score: 1

The title to this article is misleading. Paramount has not been producing The Tunnel Movie and has no say in the ways that it will be distributed. The goal of this movie the entire time has been to release it on torrents. Paramount has just recently decided that it will distribute it in a dvd format after the move was previewed in a film festival.

  17. Will text books come down to $0.99? on Crime Writer Makes a Killing With 99 Cent E-Books · · Score: 1

I'm a student and one of the major expenses for my self and many other students is text books. Text books can easily run upwards of $100 and most of these are not found in an electronic format. I have been fortunate enough to find some of my books in an electronic format for a "reduced price", but these still cost in the neighborhood of $50. To say that all electronic books will be $0.99 is insane. These publishers know that students are going to buy the books regardless of the price. I do believe that more text books will released in electronic formats but will never be offered for $0.99

  18. Economic of Scale vs Moore's Law? on Graphs Show Costs of DNA Sequencing Falling Fast · · Score: 1

Moore's Law shouldn't be what the graph is based on. A best fit line would be much more accurate at predicting the price. Technology can have effect on the price. Increase in processor speed and more efficient algorithms can both decrease the time spent processing therefore decreasing the overall cost. But economy of scale will have a much more dramatic effect. When firms increase in size or increase their production, their costs generally go down until they hit a certain point. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economies_of_scale
