    Fair question where the authors got the software if they didn't have a license. Just because you're a security researcher doesn't give you carte blanche to pirate.

    Maybe its your area but in my city there are pretty active rec leagues for all sports. You create a team of your friends or alternatively join a team looking for people.

    Worth noting this is through Employment Insurance - as a Canadian, but not a parent I assume this means most people don't get their full wages.

    Top Gear was the top watched 'factual' show, it was also syndicated in 214 countries. Now consider that Amazon's video services aren't available in most countries and its pretty easy to imagine it would have significant downloads.

    The author of that page is wrong as fuck.

    • People do not expect the lightbox to be part of their back stack, the understand it as part of the page they are viewing.
    • Filtering - it depends on the page behaviour, if most of the page doesn't reload and its snappy then the expectation is different than if everything jumps around.

    Unfortunately the big conglomerates have killed off the smaller companies. It's a vicious cycle where where people get paid less so need cheaper goods which depresses wages.

Really, politicians are only interested in reigning in the other guy, when the shoe is on the other foot you're the one doing the kicking so it's all good.

    I've found this console generation to be a colossal disappointment in terms of games. The previous generation had quite a few interesting games but this one seems like a wasteland.

    This is a myth, reducing the dynamic range would mean a needle is requires less vertical travel. Its also unlikely publishers are going spend extra money to separately master a format that accounts for a very small portion of their revenue.

    Will never happen, there is an audience for the scores w/o the full game. If the networks don't provide it someone else will and they lose viewers for their news.

    I think the issue is more that several consecutive generations have been fed the idea that experts aren't right and shouldn't be respected.

    One other issues with thinkpads is that WiFi card are 'white listed' in the BIOS and must be purchased from lenovo. So if there card doesn't wish or support is stopped you either trust a hacked BIOS or buy at 5-7x the price from lenovo
