That is fine that it's just one ISP, but how long before religious groups start targeting the more bigger ISP's here like BT or Virgin. It's the start of a downward spiral, only took one man to start a war, and although that is a very different thing, there are similarities:)
Religious groups can go and fuck themselves, I've had enough of superstitious groups trying to change the world to their liking, really it's too much. if some idiot needs to censor what he sees, install dans guardian or similar. geeze, leave the net alone
This move reminds me of when Apple stopped supporting PPC devices. The article says WinPh8 won't support single-core devices. I wonder why? That would be equivalent to them releasing Windows 7 and saying, "Won't support Pentium 4 or other single-cores."
That is because Wph8 need more than one core because it's slow and needs more cores to move at a decent pace hahah
I wouldn't be so sure, even though the US spends a lot of $$$ on chinese gear, 300 million people isn't that many when u consider the size of other nations like India for instance at 1.1 billion or europe (i know not a single country but still 740 million and then there is africa at close to a billion asia including china is over 4 billion people. So i'm in kind of agreement that US needs China more than vice-versa, I mean if US companies did pull out of china, would mean that those companies would need to relocate somewhere else, they would need to spend more for manufacturing, salaries etc. Anyway that's what I personally think, I could be wrong:-)
I thought that Linux was already installed on it:P but I know what you mean:), as far as I remember MS has a major share in Virgin Media, but what amazed me was that Amstrad Sky HD+ boxes use linux;) you can get the source from sky for it:D
That I switched from Virgin Media to Sky, although the broadband was better on cable, the rest is junk, and Virgins customer service sucks (well it did for me), as for tivo, I've never used one, I've always had mythtv, and sky+ so i'm not short of recording from TV options, just my 2 pence worth:D
The first thing I thought about was my N900, I think MeeGo will be still happening though, MeeGo is at 1.1 i'm pretty sure there will be more to it, and remember folks that Maemo apps are still being updated, and there is also Debian that can be installed if you wish, and with the overclockers kernel in maemo my N900 is faster than shit off a shovel. I will be looking after mine very carefully. It is still better specced than most driod phones (mines clocked at 1150Mhz, 1GIG ram and 48GB of storage) and loads of apps in the repo (yep u can apt-get apps for it). Just a shame Nokia didn't advertise like they could have, to me it pissed all over the Iphone and any droid i've used, and yes some did have better screens, but i know of no other phone that can turn over my TV or remote control my amp thru its IR transmitter, or play sounds in my friends car using the FM transmitter, or able to triboot Maemo, MeeGo, Android but i guess it is an end of an era.
Am I really the only one not having issues with/.'s new skin? sorry for the off comment post, just so ya know running chromium 9.0.570.1 (64589) under pclinuxos. just asking coz all i see in the comment threads (apart from the normal comments) are ppl bashing, yet i've personally havn't had any issues:D
A full Windows-plus-Linux scale-out hardware and software lineup, with an exceptionally strong position both in SaaS/public cloud and data centers, and a huge presence on the business desktop
Windows and linux? and MS is involved. In other news Satan has said these last few months have been fucking freezing.

Yes you can, only difference is that there is an ipad attached to the battery :)

Running KDE and I personally have no issues with it :) does what i need when i need to and it isn't slow as most think it might be.
That would be ITV channels as the BBC doesn't have commercials, and the blocks are still there
same here
Pclinuxos gnome edition
Fair enough, I guess I learn something new every day :)
so someone has to be sitting in front of the boxen to exploit the exploit, why not just init 1? Serious question :)
only problem is, is that IOS was out before android. So how can android phones look different before IOS if they didn't exist?
That with the Atari 2600 console version they can make 112 Movies out of it
sorry I only speak English :P
just sounds wrong on many levels. 20 years for what seems to be a joke done in bad taste.
