The offical formums just opened recently and the feedback/response has been overwhelmingly poor.
Fans are angry.
The FASA Studios Community Manager's response
He does make a statement that other genres may be explored but that response rang hollow to me.
I honestly can't understand why they wouldn't make a Deus Ex or Oblivion or GTA style (meaning free-roaming mission based) game instead of a squad based counterstrike-type game. Where's the continuity or roleplaying element in that type of game? Makes absolutely no sense.
If MS truly was pro-consumer with the 360 they'd have true backwards compatability and support moving save games from the original xbox to the 360. What a bunch of marketing BS.
a long time since I rapped with ya but all is not well in the house of Anchower.
See, I have this website that I monkey around with and then I started getting emails
from these hombres I don't even know, saying stuff about my site givin 404's and other stuff I have no idea about.
Now I already have the brakes squealing on my Festiva and I don't need something else to worry about so I give this dude $15 to fix my site. Now I can't find anything. It's worse than when I hid my stash in my apartment and couldn't remember where I put it.
So now I gotta pay the dude another $15 to make it like it was before.
Gotta go, neighbor kids are keying the Festiva!
This decision will have to affect backwards compatibility to some extent. I'm assuming you will have to have the HD to play older games now? Some big question marks now...
Anyone can make are but is it good? And good isn't necessarily subjective. There are many means to evaluate art that rely on specific criteria such as composition, technical execution, etc. Context of a piece is extremely important.
There's a big difference between Duchamp pulling a "Fountain" for the first time versus someone sticking an empty garbage bag in a gallery and calling it art in 03.
when I found out that Steam was going to force authentication for single player/offline play I decided not to buy their POS product.
I remember reading about 6-9 monthes ago that Valve had stated auth wasn't going to be required for offline play. Effing liars. I am so tired of DRM.

working for the one, all encompassing Company, sometime in the near, near future. /save us Ripley
IMHO first person just feels too much like a shooter.
Computers have done to the art world what cameras first did when Kodak made them cheap enough for everyone to afford: flood the art world with crap.

I should've clarified. This was regarding Sony and it's PS3 format. They've already stated they're using Blu-Ray as the format for PS3.
Sony is already supporting Blu-Ray. EA and Vivendi just announced they're on the Blu-Ray bandwagon as well. http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid= 6196
