Schools already tell kids a bunch of stuff that they haven't thought about already. What schools don't do is provide a practically infinite medium for creative growth. Schools also disclose information at a rate based on the lowest common denominator. Talented kids waste years of their potential waiting around to learn something meaty. The internet provides a means around this roadblocking. Oh, by the way, this whole internet making kids more creative thing is already happening. WTG Sherlock.. scotland yard wants YOU! but jokes aside, I still heart this guy.

without Pole position, without space invaders, without Mario there wasn't a business model for video gaming. if you want innovation in the market, then innovate. if people like what you have to offer, then you are in a position to define the business model. this is natural selection, this is economics. the current model reflects what people actively seek from gaming. build it, and they will come.

I remember playing GTA in 1997 (or so) and saying "this should be in 3D !!" I had to stop and ask why it wasn't in 3D. Maybe there were no 3d engines? No, not so. GLQuake, Quake 2? Well, maybe disk space constraints? Not so, according to games like curse of monkey island and myst. So what gave? We didn't see it (gta3) until almost 2002. And we all know how that fared. I guess my point is the games industry is similar to the gold rush. The gold was there for ages.. it took explorer's spirit and a little initiative to make killers out of mimes.

When MacOS is compatible with x86 processors, Apple would be fool not to sell it as an individual product. No longer will people have to throw down the cash for an entire Mac just to have a trusted brand name windows alternative. However, as the brand becomes as normal as Windows in schools and the workplace, expect to see Macs line the shelves at Best Buy. Should this happen, you can also expect to see games released concurrently for both MacOS and Windows.

True geeks will always love their toys, and so Linux and alternative OS's will always have a place. With MacOS on the market, though, Linux's place will not be Best Buy.

To argue something so bold and broad that the size of the brain is an indicator for intelligence is frighteningly naive. If you leave your computer for a second and go meet a few people, you'll quickly realize that people with little heads have no problem outsmarting people with wide hats. This is about on par with 'people with big noses have big johnsons.' Don't read this publication if you're expecting any insight on anything other than a statistical analysis of random literature. You won't find any discussion of neuroplasticity here. I've a question I'd like to ask this guy: how come people 3 feet tall are smarter than you?
