Hm, he's concerned that "co-workers... are questioning whether they can safely express their views in the workplace ", but they track down and fire the guy who was expressing his views.
Can you post where SMBLoris works on SBMv2 or v3? I haven't seen that, but the reporting has been pretty vague. Still you should remove (not just disable) SMBv1 where you can and block all inbound SMB traffic except where needed.
There is so much good to great content now, than unless I run into someone who hasn't seen a great movie or show, and I watch it with them, I never rewatch anything.
His public statements (including tweets) are being used against him in the travel ban court proceedings. They're being used to show what they really intending and undercutting their legal arguments. http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/wireStory/legal-experts-trump-travel-ban-twitter-hurting-47855873
While not a tweet, he's also screwed himself on the Comey firing when his press office rolled out a bullshit story about how he was fired on the advice of the attorney general's office, but then told a reporter that he was going to fire him anyway because of the Russia investigation.
I'm not sure why that's a problem. Self signed certs already give you a warning page, so no difference there. For Enterprise certs they've been warning us for quite a while to change out our CA root certs to stop using SHA-1 and start phasing out the old certs. However, if a business hasn't done that, they're not breaking things.
I must have missed where car makers went back and retrofitted cars with airbags and ABS at their own cost.
Sure you can put these on yourself, just like you could add a hardware or software firewall to block inbound SMB. That would have stopped the lateral infection of this worm. No source code needed, just a bit of care and attention.
It's best practice to wipe a machine as soon as it comes in and to only put back what's absolutely necessary. If the audio works with the windows driver, they wouldn't have put this HP junk back on.
People think they're real. I've seen them reposted a number of times by family members I love too much to unfollow, but otherwise worry me with their beliefs.
Maybe they were attacked. You want Net Neutrality to stay dead. A popular figure puts out a call for people to go make public comments. Do you say, well I've paid all these guys off, no need to worry, or do quickly knock the site offline and make sure no one can file a comment.
What disaster is averted or lessened by having a land line? The cellular network is more likely to be available (or come back online first) in the event of a disaster.
Really? I think if you drop copyrights to 25 years you'll just see cross studio rehashing of ideas. Their problem is that they're run by the finance department, not the art department. They want 'sure fire winners' and reboots and sequels get butts in seats.
We're a mostly PBS and Netflix home, so they don't see many commercials. However, they do see them when we watch live sports. I make sure to point out that ads are lies that are trying to trick you into buying their products. Sometimes we even talk about how a particular ad is trying to appeal to you.
This. I used to have a large DVD library, which I would rip so I could watch anytime I wanted. It all looked cool, and occasionally there'd be a bump in encoding and I could break out the DVD and make a new version.
However, I noticed that I rarely watched any of it. If I was picking a movie for myself, I'd want to watch something new.
So aside from kid's movies and some classics, I deleted it all. With Redbox for new releases and Netflix et al for finding something new it just didn't make sense.

Thanks, I hope we get a patch for SMBv2/3 even if they declare SMBv1 dead.

They also missed the part where these men are happier than their peers that work more.
Nothing really. You can put the microservices into containers and VMs, or have some of them be from cloud services. That part is new(ish).
The employees are underpaid with the assumption of tipping to make it up. That's the bad part.

Where are my mod points when I need them?!

For an ancient unsupported version of their product. Make sure you put that into your narrative.

Are you sure he doesn't get bonus points for being able to make that work?
In fact, the only reason I saw this article was because it came up in my RSS reader (feedly).
I consume media from a lot of sources and RSS is how I like to aggregate it. I'd hate to have to go to 30/40 sites to see what's new.

Even inexpensive home alarm kits have batteries and cellular now.
He's such a good manager he was even able to find someone to fill that gap!

Maybe we'll finally get an RDP thin client that doesn't cost as much as a full PC.
Yes, just like every hosted application suddenly became a Cloud Service. Just the term du jour.
