You know, the more patent disputes and awarding I see on a daily basis, the more it makes me sick about the whole patent process! Understandably so, interests of companies should be protected, but companies should not be able to sit on ideas (Not so much in this case).
Great point. I never thought about the all the commercial software. Assuming that the person buying the game has some knowledge of how a PC operates, they'll take it upon themselves to wipe some of that out.
You know, I am a fan of those Duo Core processors. I just got a MacBook this week and have been very pleased with the results. Hope Dell seems the same results for this gaming machine.
Got that right. I don't do any tech support in any manor, but I definitely have to say that I get annoyed with just about any question asked in relation to computers when I'm not getting paid to answer it. It's not my job to hold someones hand.
Intel's Duo Core processor was the reason for my purchase of a MacBook this week. As much of a die-hard PC fan as I am, I'm very impressed with the functionality of the Mac OS along with the performance of the laptop.
I purchased a Mac this week. I was never one to like Windows and have generally used Linux for most of my computing. I purchased a Mac because I was tired of the constant security issues with Windows and was not overly happy with performance. Although the Mac was a little pricey, I have found that I truely do like the overall feel, operation and even look of the Mac and the integration with multimedia devices and ease of use.
You know, as much as I dislike some of the crap on MySpace, it's pretty neat to log in and see someone in your friends request that you haven't seen in about 4-5 years. Finding people on there in the social networking role that it was designed for, actually works rather well.
Those hardware requirements are pretty hefty. We'll see how much hype Aero get's from actual users and whether this will be the deciding factor in purchasing the basic of standard versions.
This is actually pretty neat. Aside from having the ability to share Calendars in Office, this also allows you to share Calenders with your friends. Pretty clean too.
I almost got a Mac the other day just because of the ability to run Windows. As funny as that is for me to say as I was never an avid fan of Windows or OSX, it's still nice to have the ability to utilize the Mac hardware in a Windows environment.
VOIP is really challenging the networks, both cellular and voice, as the big players are getting worried about cost reduction of keeping old voice lines, etc. Should be interesting.
I get so much useless spam, it's unbelievable. If some of it was actually something useful, I may not mind, but 99% of it is just a ploy to get around the filters.
Facebook and Myspace are the best way for old people to pick up unde.... err, they're great marketing resources!!
For people that actually use those sites to create a network of associates, it's great business. I've made a number of contacts that have benefited by greatly.
Problem is, you have to combine hardware upgrades with software upgrades with Windows otherwise you'll never see significant performance enhancements. It's just another case of keeping up with the Jones'.
Rewritten badly? Although I see this as a good decision to write the code on the OS as I feel that people do gain knowledge of not only the language but how to better improve things as they been working at them for a long time, but at the same time, Microsoft has to do something regarding the level of security and I think that they're taking the right approach in doing so. The holes in Microsoft's OS contribute to a lot of the issues we face today on the Internet.

And so it begins. Who's putting bets on judgement day? ;)

Good thing! I'm tired of paying taxes and had to pay in a substantial amount of taxes this year! Go get 'um!
Does this seem like this is an inceasing reoccuring event to anyone else?

You know, this never even enter into my mind and you make a good point. Conspiracy!!
This is going to be another RIM in the making. MS will be throwing some money at them, tell you that.

If I was Bill, I would hire people to do EVERYTHING for me and I would be the fattest person on earth. :/
All I have to say is 'wow'. This story is definitely going cause some frustration in people.
Two words: Big Brother. Any one else see the future of freedom being reduced?

Have I been one of the unfortunate ones that haven't had the pleasure of seeing this new format? Looks interesting.
I'd be down for a visit! Anyone think this reminds them of Austin Powers? :)
