A few things on this. First off, whether or not an image has been doctored is detectable. If it weren't, you wouldn't be able to go to prison for images as they would no longer constitute being evidence. Secondly, since when did embarrassing another person become illegal? It's not nice, certainly. Though, does that automatically constitute it as "illegal"? Thing about this for a minute. Thirdly, IANALYMMV.
The smell alone is enough to kill! PHEWWWWW WEE! I feel sorry for my friends who live there. : ( By the way, howdy from a west-Houstonian! I hail from I10 and Beltway 8.:D
Thank you for pointing out that the summary was wrong. I was going to post it because 1000^(3*2) is 1000^6 not 1000^8. Whoever wrote the summary should be shot for not being able to do algebra.
You sir, deserve a +1 Informafunny. : ) Oh, how I wish I had modpoints. As silly as the parent's analogy may be, it is still accurate. Plus, kudos on the new McDonalds product names.
I'd probably delete my possibly illegally obtained music collection and repurchase the vast majority of it. If I could pick up an album for a dollar, I'd probably spend at least a few dollars a week on CDs... which is a good 50 or so times the amount I'm currently giving the RIAA. Here's a hint, I own very few CDs. I'm also a Linux user and don't support using DRMed songs nor do I support the use of proprietary applications with which to purchase said songs. Also, I don't like having to hold onto a physical CD for music. It takes up too much space. Ever heard of MicroSDHC technology? I can purchase a memory card that takes up less than half the area of a postage stamp that can store 8 gigabytes of MP3s (or OGG/FLAC if I'm feeling picky). Long story short, I'd go for this in a heartbeat and would possibly cease my boycott of the big 4.
This seems to be more of a problem with Adobe not caring about Linux users. : ( Though, I'm quite excited that the standard is open! Hopefully there are no silly restrictions holding back the FOSS community now. Finally, I'll be able to open multiple tabs that have Flash and Youtube won't clog my poor little Pentium 4.
So.. it's a mechanical device? Or, it's something that lacks an official term? I fail to believe either of these. You find me a definition that fits, and maybe I'll believe you. Until then, the Apple userbase needs to understand technical terminology.
A resize widget? Seriously? You're calling it a "widget"? You mean a FUNCTION? You're hereby put on Slashdot probation until you can prove your geek hood. Mac users.. sheesh. Next thing you know you'll be calling bootloaders "bootcamps" and backup utilities "timemachines". For the record, I loved MacOS 9 back when it was new and shiny.
Only problem I can see with it is generation loss. Copy something over and you're missing a couple of bits. Okay, not too much harm done. Copy it again and you're missing even more. Okay.. a bit of a hit we can keep going. By the time you've copied it twenty times, it sounds like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yu_moia-oVI
Speaking of movies... modified quote: Lower ranking RIAA lawyer: Oh no! The college students are revolting! Higher ranking RIAA lawyer: We already know this.
Oh yeah.. boot camp is TOTALLY a fresh idea. : ) So are MP3 players. So is using Unix as a base for your OS and not paying for it or giving back to the community. Yep, Apple is full of PLENTY Of fresh ideas. : ) As far as I'm concerned, all of their fresh ideas suck. For instance, have you actually tried to type on their new keyboard? Fresh ideas indeed...
I probably should have cleared this up. We got the modem about 6 months ago. I think they'd be more willing to ship single modems as they cost the company less, in the end. Of course, it's strictly by request. Most people love their wireless these days... causes a lot of issues in crowded areas, though. From my friend's old apartment I picked up over 10 different connections at any given time.
My friend needed a modem for his DSL connection after his 2Wire stopped working appropriately. Big surprise there. We picked one up for 50 bucks from Best Buy. It was tied to AT&T, though. Siemens makes some decent modems that are just modems. I personally use a WRT54G for my routing needs. I'm thinking of throwing OpenWRT onto it. I wish I had the L series, though. Those are built to throw different firmwares on.
Not if ICANN protect my precious bodily fluids! Seriously, though. I made a reference to this movie about 15 minutes ago in real life. : ) How blissful.
So, are you saying that The Church of Scientology and the FSM might hold truth? You have to. While we're at it, how about The Matrix? Yeah.. let's just throw a bunch of other stuff in there. You can't disprove it, after all. : ) I'll leave the reason I'm being sarcastic as an exercise for the reader.

That would be one quintillion gigabytes. I figured geeks would be better at adding exponents...

Damn, we can't attribute this exploit to the operating system. Whatever will Slashdot talk about!?

Oh God. Did I just see Twitter come forth with honesty? You should have explained that earlier... No, I haven't been one of the ACs trolling you.

There. Fixed that for you.
You got TWO +5 Informatives by saying something and then retracting it? Oh wise one! Please teach me your ways.

Hell, I'VE been on South Park. Wait a second, no I haven't. Your argument is invalid!
Ouch. Was that a reference to D-wars? That was an atrocious movie. I'm glad I theater hopped over to Resident Evil that day...
