...and so facebook has my university email address.
I don't use it for anything else besides facebook and school-related things, so I don't think they will be tracking me by my email address.

And if Microsoft dared to include something even close to what Time Machine does, Norton (with their Ghost program) along with plenty of other backup software companies would instantly file an anti-monopoly lawsuit.

Well I'd have to disagree with you on that. I really don't know much about anime, but when I think of anime and robots, I think of Gundam. Meanwhile, I've never even heard of "Macross" before.

It won't matter, as the FCC will delay it until 2012, when the Mayan Calendar ends, and then we won't be too worried about whose system we want to play.
I've always heard that HOV lanes are for 2 or more licensed drivers.
I mean, the point is to reduce congestion/pollution by limiting the number of cars on the road, and the benefit of the lane is the incentive to ride with somebody else instead of driving your own car by yourself.
As unlicensed drivers (children, etc.) aren't going to be driving by themselves anyways, it wouldn't make sense to allow them to qualify you for the commuter lane.
