yeah, sometimes i think about giving up, just stop to argue.
no more "where is my privacy?" no more "do my actions get monitored?".
such things just make me weak, sometimes I really think that I will just lay back, accept microsofts way and be what they call a good user.

They may monitor my actions, I don't care, I got nothing to hide.
They may DRM the shit out of my PC, I don't care, I have the money to get my music legally.

In return I get an all in one solutions. I don't have to care about, just use it. And if I stick to M$ rules, the usability is going to be great. Just think about the smartphone/tabletPC/workstation connectivity. May this is a revolution in computing.

This is kinda an example how CD protection is going to fail, because now ppl don't have to inform themselves which CDs are nonfunctional, just look out for the BMG logo and you'll know.

Since BMG is a huge company they won't crash and burn because of this, but I'm sure they'll get their scars, and if not BMG itself maybe other labels/publishers will learn from this lesson.

Alright I'm sorry, since english is not my native language I ceased to get the right definition of stall.

What I meant to say was that the CPU always has to do litle rudder movements to prevent it from falling down, or the other way round: the pilot wouldn't be able to keep the plane up with his stick alone.

And yeah, I know there's some subliminal punchline in "keep the plane up with his stick" ;)

  17. F-22 "avionics" on F-22 Avionics Require Inflight Reboot · · Score: 4, Interesting

Sorry, but if you have to reboot the ENTIRE avionics system of a F-22 you're fucked to say mildly.

This plane is always in a controlled stall, the movements of the rudder to prevent it from crashing are calculated every second this bird flys, the pilot just decides in which directions the plane goes, but the task of keeping it up is left to the CPU.

So, if you just "reboot" this sucker for a second the plane would plummet like a stone, no matter how strong it's pushed forward by the engine or what the pilot does.

What I can imagine that the pilot would have to restart some none vital components of the main computer.
Such as the timing of the green/red flashlights or his seat heating. ;)
Even restarting the RADAR/TARGETING unit would be ok, BUT DO NOT SWITCH OF THE AVIONICS ON THIS BIRDY!

I never saw a MS game that only works with MS controllers, or vice versa.

  22. microsoft != microsoft on Why The X-Box Network Will Fail · · Score: 5, Insightful

    Yes, it's true.
Just because they developed a kinda unfriendly OS there is no reason to hate the whole company and predict failings and spread bad mood.

The gaming sector of Microsoft has nothing in common with the part of the company that produces the OS, except the name.
Take a look at Microsoft hardware, the controllers, the joysticks, the mice. They deliver rock steady quality for a fair price.

And I think it's the same thing with gaming here. The guys responsible for that DO have the balls and the money to pull this thing off.

Why do we always have to bitch about EVERYTHING that MS does? Why can't we just be grateful that they give us more freedom in choosing our online/gaming console?

More drivers just improve the quality of the race.
