Anyway, it's November the 1st so S&M: Culture Shock is now available (or should be, anyway) from Telltale's website:

  13. Re:FUD.. on Oblivion Confirmed for PS3 Launch · · Score: 1

I'm in the industry and although I have no experience with the PS3 whatsoever, I keep hearing from others that it's horrible to work with. (Although, they often admit, not as horrible as for the PS2).

Apparently, this time people actually use the libraries and things are slightly better documented. Take it with a pinch of salt; I simply heard it from someone else and the PS2 allowed from some pretty awesome games so I doubt that this really affects much. Possibly just the initial release games.

  14. Re:torrentialism.. on Sam and Max Hit the GameTap · · Score: 1

That's fine, as long as you buy the game when it becomes available to everyone else who doesn't like Gametap.

Or are you too poor to shell out that $7.50 - $10.00 (Whatever the price will be for this episode)?

  15. Tim Schafer on Double Fine and Vivendi Join Up For Publishing · · Score: 2, Informative

For anyone who doesn't know who Tim Schafer is, he's the guy (as in; one of the guys - guy) behind games like Grim Fandango, Psychonauts and Day of the Tentacle, and many other games. Tim Schafer's 'Gameography'

    .

Anyway, why should we care about this deal? Well, first of all, it has a bit to do with the way the industry works. You've got Game Studios and you've got Game Studios, not a single studio is alike. Some studios focus on creativity, some focus on making money, some are just doing their job, some are just doing their job but it takes them forever.

I believe that Double Fine is one of those studios where creativity goes before (getting a deal that ends in lots of) money. So yeah, if they find a publisher that allows them to make awesome games, it's a good thing for me as a gamer because it hopefully results in an enjoyable game. In a way it's good news, or could be, anyway.

Hahahahah. So people are going to give up being able to recharge their cell phone batteries for free for the ultra-convienence of having to go to the store to buy new fuel cells for their phones everytime they lose power. Right.

People might just do that if the fuel cells have a lifespan of a year.

...of course, maybe they're not telling people how long the cells last because they suck. (the cells, not the people)

    Right.

No, that was Gray Goo, which, in fact, was only referred to in the game's intro. The game's plot itself was meager and was more about the factions and/or JC & Paul.

Gray Death was Deus Ex (1).
