It's only the fanatics. The regular joes in those countries listen to the same music and think very much alike.

Iranian students screaming "Death To America" = Hollywood "enlightened" Actors, NAMBLA, NOW, PETA members and other wackos from America. Every country has their dysfunctional ones. ^^

  6. Re:That would actually be the major reason not to on Run Windows Applications Natively in OS X? · · Score: -1

IBM was the problem at that time. OS/2 had poor tools. Basically very little advertising. Usabiliy was in the toilets. IBM added half-baked stuff to OS/2 (Ultimail?). Merlin was supposed to have transparent windows long before win2k had that feature. They botched the UI with OS2 Warp4. WebExplorer was abandonned. The list is long.

Running Windows on OS/2 never hurt OS/2. IBM doing very little is what hurt OS/2. Heck, TeamOS2 did most of the evangelizing and advocating for OS/2.

  7. Bring those Japanese games over to America on Xbox 360 Doesn't Want To Be Hardcore · · Score: -1

The whole gaming industry is oriented on growing kids into gamers (I.E.: Nintendo's Pokemon). American game shops are still hooked on FPS, RTS and MMORPGs. And the milking as no end in sight.

Put a medical frigate on one side and a star destroyer on the other side. User select aircrafts (X-Wing, Tie-Defender, etc...) And then FIGHT.

This reminds me of Airline companies and their habit of over selling places on their flights.

if companies can't cope with what they sell then maybe they should get out of the business? Why is this the fault of the users who max out their bandwidth again?

  15. The Anti-trust Circus... again... on Former Hacker Irks Microsoft in EU Dispute · · Score: -1, Troll

With all the money the Euro tax payers probably spent on this worthless crusade, they could have probably built their own alternative OS or retooled some Linux with even better usability.

At least the american DoJ were smart enough to know better when they stopped going at MS for nothing.

  17. Re:Giant Heads on Microsoft Goes Head-to-Head With IBM · · Score: 1

Why didn't IBM get off it's arse and make OS/2 work and increase its user base instead of abandonning it? Why did it abandon the CHRP platform so easily?

Reality: ---> Microsoft won because everybody else gave up. ---

Novell didn't move a finger to save itself. Netscape didn't have a plan. IBM isn't capable of leading the way.

So instead of scapegoating the blame to political parties, why don't you look at the other players first. Stop being so biased and get back to reality.

  18. End is near for IBM on Microsoft Goes Head-to-Head With IBM · · Score: -1, Flamebait

IBM is no match for Microsoft. Just like Novell (dead NOS company) was no match for Microsoft long ago. Microsoft listens to the market. Novell didn't. IBM never did.

Microsoft has the best tools. The best Network OS (Win2K3). Legions of devs. IBM doesn't have any of those.

IBM is dead meat. And no, those IBM executives with advanced golfing talent won't help save the company.
