I have a better idea. The new "feature" ("Safe Surf") is total crap. AVG's FAQ tells you how to remove the component from an installation:

The router at home runs a precompiled version of Gentoo with HTB init and ESFQ. Works great especially since there's one person here who used to suck up all bandwidth making the internet unusable for everyone else.
Realtec AC'97. It's a great integrated audio controller. I don't see the point in buying add on sound cards now that the on board audio is more than good enough.
