Of course, if Google is smart, they'll see this as an opportunity to seriously change the mechanics of elections,... candidates with less money can create a campaign video and upload it to Youtube, which still stands a decent chance of being viewed by a lot of people; versus the candidates with big bucks that can afford to spend ungodly amounts of money be extorted on advertisements on network television. The good news, too, is that Youtube's "viewership" is increasing, quite substantially, especially among the younger crowds. Network television's viewership is really not doing anything; either remaining stagnant, or possibly decreasing, due to all the crap that the network executives idiots keep broadcasting these days.
If there ever was a time when Google's, "Don't be evil," policy applied, I'd say this is it,. . .
And then the professor will plagiarize the best student projects and submit them for publication in an academic journal, padding their CVs with even more publications,... Although the honest and good professors will still leave the students names on the papers they submit, giving them credit as well,...;-)
I would be interested to know whether the right wing right-to-lifers would be pissed off that you're raising innocent animals for the sole purpose of slaughtering and harvesting them for their organs,...
Or would the left wing animal rights naked PETA supporters be pissed off that you're raising innocent animals for the sole purpose of slaughtering and harvesting them for their organs,...
On the bright side, we might have actually found an issue that both the left and right wingers actually agree on!
True. But do you think most Americans know that? Most Americans can't even find Iraq on a globe! If you read my post again, you'll see I said they just feared catching HIV from it.
Actually, the real reason a lot of people don't want to do mouth-to-mouth probably has more to do with not being certain if the person is HIV positive or not and the fear of potentially becoming infected should you perform mouth-to-mouth on them.
But the bottom line, if it comes down to doing CPR, the person's most likely going to die anyway. If you do see someone that looks like they're in cardiac arrest, you're first instinct should be to look for the automatic defibrillator device if one's available. CPR should be a last resort after that.
She has this page intended, "For Foster Children Only," where she wants foster children to send her their personal contact details and information on their families, etc, etc, etc,... WTF?!?! Aren't we having enough problems with kids sending contact info on the internet to complete strangers?!?! Does this woman have any common sense whatsoever?!?!
Furthermore, she has a link at the top of the page saying, "(I want to print this letter)." Scroll down to the bottom and you see the usual legal bullshit, "The content if this web site is intended to generate income, it is not free if you intend to archive, copy, print or distribute anything electronically fixed herein." Is she going to sue the kids for, "breach of contract", next?
If I was the judge, I'd dismiss the case as complete bullcrap and order her ovaries surgically removed to insure stupidity like her can never reproduce again,...
My HP DV9000 notebook I bought built-to-order off of their own website wasn't loaded with too much junk. A couple of the usual freebie internet deals, but nothing too annoying. I am trying to figure out why it came preloaded with Netscape?!?! WTF?!?! Hasn't HP heard of Firefox, yet?!?! NOBODY uses Netscape anymore!!!!;-)
Great computer, though! Just don't spill beer on the keyboard,...;-)
Heck! They need to put a couple of these suckers in Arizona (not Phoenix),...;-)
I-17 has horrible cell coverage in places, and could really use something better. The only cell phones that even work at the Grand Canyon are Verizon phones (although perhaps Verizon likes it that way).
Conservapedia is better?! WTF?! I just checked out that site, and sadly, I ain't impressed. I got a particular kick out of their article on the Law of Mass Conversation. The article on homeschooling is also a riot, particularly the list of 'High-achieving Christians who were educated at home.' (ironic how Jesus Christ is on that list, considering that at the time he would have been educated, he was actually Jewish,...
Well, on the bright side, at least the movie wasn't handed to Brannon and Braga. I don't think ANYBODY on slashdot would see that movie.
But on the flip side, I think the whole Star Trek franchise has been pretty much beaten dead. Is ANY producer/director capable of revitalizing Trek? I probably wouldn't even let Spielberg or Lucas have a go at this thing! On second thought, if George Lucas were to do Trek, that might actually end up worse than anything Brannon or Braga would come up with,...;-)
Sucking is irrelevant if the movie pulls $50M in its opening weekend.
The problem with that is its opening is Thursday, December 25, 2008. Is anybody going to go to the movies during the christmas holiday?!?! It's almost like Paramount gave this the death sentence before it was even produced!
How would you like to spend 4 years in college, 4 years in medical school, probably around 3-4 years in residency, only to have a patient come into your office with some basic malady that you know the correct treatment for, . . . only to have them tell you exactly what they think you should do by bringing in printouts from WebMD.com? And then they tell you to write them a prescription for some drug that they think they want because either (a) they googled it or (b) they saw an ad on TV for said drug and thought it was be the cure-all for all their problems.
And if you don't do what the patient wants,... they sue you.
And I suppose you probably had Duke picked to go to the Final Four this year, too, eh? ;-)

"I have had it with these motherfucking phones on this motherfucking plane!"
And, when flying Aeroflot in Soviet Russia: P0RN UPLOADS YOU!

Wow! They've discovered the species responsible for editing Conservapedia!
So could Washington, D.C. Plenty of hot air there!

Shhh! Don't give Stephen Colbert any ideas!!!!!! /In other news, Abe Vigoda's still kickin'!
. . . news about Richard Jeni's death could have turned out to be fake. Now there's a comedian that will be missed! RIP Richard Jeni!
Great computer, though! Just don't spill beer on the keyboard,... ;-)
These days, anybody that opens ANYTHING with a .vbs extension deserves whatever happens to their computer! Are users really that dumb?

Is it just me, or is Dvorak like the Ric Romero of Slashdot, or something,... ?

I don't want to see "Snakes on the Defiant"
Didn't they already do an episode of, "Tribbles on the Enterprise." Granted, Samuel L. Jackson in that episode would've been great!
